Hello

The age limit of NDA is 16.5 to 19 years(AT THE TIME OF COMMENCEMENT OF THE COURSE,NOT AT THE TIME OF APPLYING).

NDA have three stage selection process
1)Written exam
2)Service Selection Board interview
3)Medical fitness.

In order to complete these process,it requires almost 1 year time for completing.
Now it is specifically mentioned that age must be between 16.5 to 19 years,when the course is due to commence.

Hence it is required that when you apply your age must be between 15.5 to 18 years.So when the selection process ends,your age must remain between 16.5 to 19 years.

As your age is already 19 years,after 1 year you will be 20+,at the time of commencement of the course.

Friend,

The age limit of the NDA exam is the 16.5-19 years. The NDA Notification includes the all the information about the exam it will also consist of the Age limit condition. The Notification is usually displayed in the employment news papers and also National Important News Papers.

In addition to this age limit you have to full fill the remaining requirements of the NDA exam.

You have to clear Intermediate or any equivalent examination from the recognized college. Age should be as said above and you have to be Indian citizen or subject of Bhutan or Nepal . Only Male unmarried candidates are eligible for the Exam. The candidates also fit from the physical standards. You should be free from the diseases.

>> Medical Examination

Mathematics
Marks � 300

General Ability
Marks � 600

All the questions in the objective type .

The selected candidates in the written exam called for the Interview . It is conducted at the Bangalore, Bhopal and Allahabad for the five days

Dear aspirant, Reason for rejection is clear by seeing the DOB of yours, according to your date of birth you were 19 years ols at that moment of time, and it is clearly written into the notification candidate age should not be 19 till the commencement of the course, that means if you reaches the commencement of the course then your age might be 19.5 to 20 years of age as it takes 6 to 10 months to commence the course. So it is the main reason for rejection of your application. And also you can see the eligibility criteria once again if you have doubt. 10 2 in any stream can apply for NDA to join indian army. 10 2 in physics and maths can join indian air force and navy also. Eligibility Criteria for UPSC NDA - National Defense Academy Examination

Indian Military - must have passed class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board

Indian Navy and Air Force - must have passed class 12th with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject from a recognize board

Age should not be less than 16.5 years and more than 19 years but dear you have crossed your 19 years of age according to your date of birth so that you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination but if you are interested in defense services then you can apply for following examination

UPSC Combined Defense Service

Indian Military - A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and age should not be less than 19 years and more than 24 years

Indian Navy - A bachelor's degree in engineering in any discipline from a recognized university and age should not be less than 19 years and more than 22 years

Indian Air Force - A bachelor's degree with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject from a recognized university and age should not be less than 19 years and more than 23 years

Dear candidate NDA is the examination conducted by UPSC NDA(I) NDA (II) every year.To perform this examination a 12 th pass student is needed and the Age eligibility is 16 and a 1/2 years to 19 years.Your question while you were applying your age was 19 years,you applied for NDA(1) but your application is rejected.

The reason behind this is the procedure of counting eligibility may not same as you calculated or the authority wrongly rejected.For to clear the issue please see the UPSC NDA eligibility.

***The age of the NDA candidate must not cross the range of years 16 and a 1/2 years to 19 years.

The age must be calculated on the basis of notification cut-off date, then your DOB and notification cut-off date both can solve the issue clearly.

Sorry however your age exceeds the age limits registered by the UPSC for NDA exams.
additionally note that empty or error-prone forms,poor pictures or signature quality,improper documents or ineligibility on alternative criterias are causes for rejection of forms,,

The age limit of the nda exam 16.5 to 19 years.........i think your form was rejected and may be some other faltus will be there
like photo uploading and uploading singature
they will provide the required photo and signature sizes
you can upload those sizes only

I was clearly mentioned that candidate should be born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st July, 1996 are eligible.so kindly check it first. Even you fullfill this criteria, there may be other chances for ineligibility such as not filled the application fully, photo and signature not uploaded properly or not within the stipulated conditions. YOu dont know for what reason its rejected. In future, always keep a xerox copy or printout of your application so that you can find where u did wrong

The age is counted from 01.08.1993.though your age is more than the 19 year.so your application is rejected

your form was rejected becuase the age limitations for NDA examinations is between 16.5 to 19 years. and since your are exactly nineteen years.this is the main cause of rejection of application form.


there may be some other faults like

>>uploading of photograph

>>uploading of signature

>>inadequate documents.


so,donot lose your heart,if you want to join the Indian army,then you can give the combined defences servcies during your final year of your graduation.

first do your graduation and then go for competition.

dear age is not only the eligibility criteria for the NDA exam,
you may be not eligible with refrence to education eligibility,

actually this is not because of your age

it may be for some another reason

some criteria for the nda exam are as follows

such as:-

**you must be a citizen of india

**you must have complete your intermediate from any recognized university in any strem

**your age must be in between 16.5-19

**your height should be in between 157cms

**you must be physically and mentally strong

sir... lots of people are giving this exam and only 250 are successful so may be for that your form is rejected

1 doe not follow the instruction how to fill the form
2 the payment procedure of application fee i not according to the precribed format
3 delay in postage of application in case of offline procedure

Also take note that unfilled or erring forms,poor photographs or signature quality,improper documents or ineligiblity on other criterias are also causes for rejection of forms,,
as the UPSC is very strict with the directions and the candidates must abide by them.

dear friend the count the age at the timr of joining so you may be fulfilling the age criteria at the time of filling the form but at the time of joining the academy you were over age that is why you were not eligible for the exam.

the cause for rejection may not be only of age but other fields such as uploading photograph , signature or even correct address . one's application may also be cancelled on the basis of second time applying for the same entry .
