So much questions .Hold your horse. You are in first year you have enough time don't waste it.You know Civil service is a long exam and you need proper planning.
Now you are in your first year so just develop a habit of reading newspapers and remain updated on current affairs.On more important thing take down syllabus of Civil Services Exam optional paper of Mechanical Engineering paper .Prepare well your engineering subjects as you go semester by semester prepare subjects as per syllabus.So that you don't have to work hard for your optional paper once your degree is completed
