For general category your age must lies in between 21-30 years.

The Relaxation in the age is provided to reserved category candidates.

THE RELAXATION IN AGE FOR RESERVED CATEGORY CANDIDATES IS



Your age is 35 years. so you can apply for the UPSC exams only if you belongs to the above reserved categories.

For the post of IAS you can apply through Civil Service exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

This exam is conducted at national level.

The age limit for the post of IAS is 21 to 30 years.

While the age limit for the PCS exam is 21 to 35 years.

Candidates can get the age relaxation as per government norms

SC/ST + 5 years

OBC +3 years

PH + 10 years.

1.For General:-21-30 years

2.For OBC :-21-33 Years

3.For SC/ST:-21-35 Years

4.For PH:-21-40 years.

if your age is 35 then you are eligible for the exam if and only if you belongs to the SC/ST or PH category otherwise you can nott apply.

for upsc exams the age limit for various categories is as follows:-
general-21-30
obc-21-33
sc/st/defence personnel-21-35
pd-40
if you are general/obc then you are not eligible.

This is not possible for you to appear in the civil services examination at the age of 35 years unless you are a sc/st category students. Because the age limit for giving the civil services exam is 21-30 years and a relaxation of 3 years and 5 years is given to the students belonging to the obc and sc/st category students

2.For obc 21-33 yrs.
3.For sc/st 21-35 yrs.

And also you have minimum done your graduation from recognized university.

The criteria for appearing in Civil Services Exam is :
1. Nationality : Indian
2. Academic qualification : Graduate in any stream from any recognized university.
3. Age limits : 21-30 (OPEN), 21-33 (OBC), 21-35(sc/st).
4. Attempts : OPEN-4 , OBC-7 ,SC/ST-9 .

As you are already 35, you are not eligible for any service exam coming under UPSC.

For applying for civil services exam the age limits are as follows:

1.For general category 21-30 yrs

2.For obc category 21-33 yrs

3.For sc/st category 21-35 yrs

For general category the limit is 30 yrs but some relaxation is given for sc/st and obc category.

The process for it is as mentioned underlined:

1.You need to apply for the exam online or offline
2.Prelims is conducted in May
3.Those who clear it are eligible for the Mains
4.Who clears Mains are eligible for the final round i.e Interview.

The ias,ips,ifs etc are under the civil service exam.
The age limit for the exam:-
The age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. And attempt the exam 4 times.

The age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years (3 years relaxation). Attempt the exam 7 times.

Age limit for SC/ST category is 21 to 35 years and attempt chance till overage. Means no limit
Age relaxation for physical handicapped is the 10 years.
According to age if you belongs to the unreserved or obc category then you are not eligible for the exam.

age should be 21 to 30 years
age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years
age relaxation for SC/ST candidate 5 years

should be graduate from a recognized university in any stream
(marks or percentage doesn't matter)


nationality- Indian

number of attempts-

general candidate- 4
OBC- 7
SC/ST- no limit

AGE RELAXATION:-

for obc = 3 years

first of all i tell you that all the examination like ias, irs ,ifs ..............are coming in civil services examination.

that means if you want to become an ias,,,,,,,,, officer than you have to appear in the civil services examination and also clear it successfully.

there are three stages of the examination.

1. Prelims examination.

2. Mains examination.

3. interview.

if you want to become an ias officer than you have to clear all the stages of the examination succesfully.


eligibility required:-

there are only two major requirement .

1. the candidate must be indian citizen.

2. the candidate must be graduate ( from a ugc recognized university.)
age criteria:-

for general category:- 21-30 years.

for obc category:- 21-33 years.

for sc/st category:- 21-35 years.

so if you completed 35 than you are not eligible for the same ,

but if you are a central govt. servant OR physically handicapped person than you can get age relaxation of 5 and 10 years respectively.

Eligibility for IAS Officer or Civil Services exams 2013

A bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks

A General Category candidate's age should be between 21-30 years

A OBC Category candidate's age should be between 21-33 years

A SC/ST Category candidate's age should be between 21-35 years

Dear you have crossed the maximum age limitation which is required for IAS and other civil services exams so you are not eligible for any civil services exams and you can not apply.

Indian Administrative services comes under the civil services examinations.All the services that falls under civil services have same age limitations like IAS,IPS,IFS etc .The age limitations are given as below:

Friend,you can only appear for this examination if you belong to SC/ST or physically handicapped as the maximum age limit for P.D candidates is 40 years.Being a SC/ST candidate you will only get a single chance as maximum age limit is 35 years and your already 35 years.

Academic qualifications :

>>Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement to appear for the civil services.

Nationality:

>>Indian

To appear for CSE you have 3 phases:
Preliminary
Mains
