    For the upsc exam you need to have good command over english as the paper consists of language and english is also present and also you need to write essay so you ned to have good command in english..

    Also for the interview it is important these days that if we speak english then it's good..


    But you don't need to worry much as you can be good at english...

    For it you can do the following:
    * Read english newspaper and try to know the meaning of unknown words and try to memorize them and use them
    *Practice good english books....

    And for your knowledge there is one book to enhance your skills in english and the book is: "Word power made easy"..

    to become IAS officer,
    you must be graduate from a recognized university in any stream.

    your age lies between 21-30 years.

    --you must be Indian citizen.


    this exam these stages;-


    ----preliminary exam

    ----mains exam

    ----interview

    IAS exam consist general english test.
    there fore your English should be strong to clear this exam.

    I read in class 7th. I want to become an IAS officer. I am very good in arts field. Can I become an IAS officer if I will not choose maths and I will choose another subject like sanskrit etc.should my english be very strong to pass upsc exam and interview.
