Yes my dear friend you are eligible for giving the IAS exam conducted by the upsc, and that too in the category of obc.
You can enjoy the relaxation provided by the upsc in the age limit and the number of attempts.
The age limit and the number of attempts for the general category is 21-30 and 4 respectively.
But there is a 3 year relaxation given to the obc candidates, the age limit and the number of attempts for the obc candidates is 21-33 years and 7 respectively.

Dear Friend,

Yes you are eligible for civil services examination.

All category candidates are eligible for that examination only it is required that you should be graduate from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.

Your age must be under 21-30 years.
3 years of age relaxation for BC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

General candidates has 4 attempts to apply where as BC candidates has 7 attempts to apply and SC/ST candidates has no limit to apply for same.

You are definitely eligible to appear for the exam

So you no need to worry at all

You must have a minimum of " BACHELOR DEGREE " From a recognized university

Usually the stream might be any thing

So you should not worry ..try to Concentrate on the Preparation

The minimum age must be " 21 " years

Maximum age is allowed up to "" 30 "" years


AS YOU BELONG TO THE OBC CATEGORY there is an AGE RELAXATION for the reserved candidates

So you will get " 3 " years age Relaxation

So for you the maximum age is allowed up to " 33 " years

Must be Physically and Mentally Well

1> if you are Indian than category does not matter for UPSC exam..
2> but age relaxation and getting the passing marks in UPSC depends on category..
3> your graduation degree must be from any authorized university and college..

Dear you did not mention that for which UPSC examination you wants to apply but presently the UPSC board has opened the online application for the Civil Service and Forest Service Examination so that you need to apply for these exams first and the eligibility criteria is following for both exams

Eligibility for Civil Service Examination

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

Eligibility for Indian Forest Service Examination

A bachelor's degree in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized university

Agriculture
Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
Botany
Chemistry
Engineering - Any Discipline
Forestry
Geology
Mathematics
Physics
Statistics
Zoology

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which follows same as mentioned above you can apply for these exams between these following dates at - www.upsc.gov.in

Start date for online application - 05-04-2013

Last date for online application - 04-04-2013

Date for UPSC IAS Examination - 26-05-2013

Yes friend you are eligible to apply for the civil service exam under OBC category.

You will also receive the age relaxation and reservation in the merit lists

OBC candidates get the age relaxation of 3 years. Its mean that you can apply for civil exam till the age of 33 years.

And you will also get the relaxation in attempts , you can give 7 attempts in civil service exam.
