Hai,there is no difference in CDS 1 and CDS IIexam as the syllabus and eligibility criteria for both the exams is same.CDS exams takes place two times in a year.the exam which takes place in feb is called as CDS Iand the other one which takes place in sep. is called CDS IIby qualifing this exams you will get a ssb callletter from the department for which you qualify.yes you can apply directly for CDS II.

Hi dear friend,
just to clear your confusion let me tell you that there is no difference between CDS(I) and CDS(II) examination.Both are same examination conducted by UPSC for selection in armed forces.They are named CDS(I) and CDS(II) examination because these examinations are held twice in a year such that CDS(I) is conducted in Februry and CDS(II) examination is held in September month of a year.The naming of both examinations is done to avoid any confusion.

The eligibility criteria required for CDS examination are:-

>candidate must be a citizen of India.

>candidate must completed graduation from a recognized university in any stream

>Age limits for various forces are:-
Army 19-24 years
Air Force 19-23 years
Navy 19-22 years

UPSC conduct CDS exam twice in a year.For applying CDS exam you must have graduate person & you can apply either CDS-I or CDS-II.

CDS I and CDS II are the two names of the same exam conducted by the UPSC.
Actually UPSC conducts this exam twice a year with the name CDS I and CDS II.
You can apply to both of the exam after satisfying certain criteria.......
* you must have completed graduation or graduation equivalent course from a recognized university.
* your age should be in between 19-25
* your height should be in between 157cm
* you should be mentally & physically fit and unmarried.
* you should not be suffering from any diseases..
Satisfying all the above criteria you can apply to the exam.............

Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS) is the best exam to join armed force through upsc on graduation basis.
it is held twice a year by upsc .CDS I and CDS II.

both these exams are same .so you can apply for anyone of them .

to apply for this exam you need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
1.graduation or engineering from a recognized university.
2.age limit 21 to 25 years.
OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

along with that
age for IMA 19-24 years
age for OTA 19-25 years
age for IAF 19-22 years

final year students can also eligible to apply for this exam.

It is import ant to note that
# for IMA(Indian Military Academy) And OTA(Officer's Training Academy) student should have passed Graduation from a recognized university .
# for the Indian Air Force Exam the candidate should be pass in Graduation With Physics or Maths.

there is no such difference between CDSI and CDSII

it is the same exam that is conducted by upsc twice a year

you can give either CDSI or CDSII

to get a good job you have to qualify one of this exam

the eligibility criteria for CDS is:-

you should be a citizen of india


you should be free from any disease


your eye sight should be 6/6 or 6/9


you should have complete your graduation from recommended university


your age should be in between 19-25


your height should be in between 157cm


you should be mentally physically strong

There is no difference between C.D.S(I) & C.D.S.(II).
Only the fact is U.P.S.C. conducts Combined Defense Service Exam twice in a year known as C.D.S(I) & C.D.S(II).
All eligibility criteria, exam pattern & applying for the is same.
You can directly apply for C.D.S(II).
Because both the examinations are equal.
To get job in Indian defense , you have to qualify in any one of the C.D.S exam, either C.D.S.(I) or C.D.S.(II)
No need to appear for both examination.

For INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY:- 19-24 YEARS
FOR NAVAL ACADEMY:- 19-22 YEARS
FOR AIR FORCE ACADEMY:- 19-23 YEARS

Dear student,
Except the fact that the two examinations are conducted in two different time periods of an year,there lies no difference between them.
While CDS-1 is conducted in February,the CDS-2 Exams are conducted in September.They are all but the same.

Qualification in the WRITTEN & SSB INTERVIEWS COULD HAND YOU WITH A POST UNDER THE CENTRAL DEFENCE.
It depends upon you to choose whether you want to get associated with GROUND BATTLE ARMY,NAVY OR AIR FORCE once you qualify these.

There isn't any difference between CDS-1 and CDS-2.
Only they come twice in a year.
CDS -1 comes in every february, where as CDS-2 comes in every september.
You are eligible only if you are graduate.
You have to first crack written exam and then ssb interview.
According to their result you will be eligible for training in army,navy or air force institute.

Hello,
CDS-I exam conducted by UPSC at the month of November. And CDS-II exam is conducted at the month of July of Next year.

The last application fill up for CDS(I) exam 2012 was 28/11/2011. And application for CDS (II) exam will be closed on 02/07/2012.

The notification of CDS (II) exam 2012 will be displayed on 02/06/2012 at www.upsc.gov.in

there is no difference between cds-I and cds-II it is on the basis of their time the form is available to be filled.
Manily it occurs twice in a year. tht's why it is cds-I and cds-II

dear friend firstly you should know that cds-I and cds-II are the same exam it is the combined defense services examination conducted by the upsc twice a year to recruit the young generation into the defense forces as an officer so you can apply for any it is like bank po exam is conducted twice a year so dont worry just apply an work hard

Both CDS-I and CDS-II are same exams conducted by upsc at two different time of the year.
cds -1 is conducted in february and cds-ii is conduted in october of every year.
U can take any of these exams according to ur choice or both of them..
Through this u will get a job in defence services as a officer in ARMY. AIR FORCE AND NAVY...
