Hi dear

You cannot become a RAW agent or part of any other intelligence agency through an UPSC Exam.

However Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Combined graduate level exam which can get you a similar job.

The Eligibility criteria for SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam is same as of UPSC Civil Services Exam.

i.e. you must be an Indian and graduate from a recognized university.

You should also regularly visit home ministry's webpage regarding various occasional openings.

Yes you can apply for this exam.You have to apply for SSC exam then only you can become Raw Agent.
RAW is an independent body, it has the power to select candidates as they wish, sometime R & AW recruits there agents and officers from Army, IPS, IAS, IB, CBI, or sometimes directly from Universities (very rare case).

Eligibility Criteria of RAW:
You should be Indian.
Your age should be between 20 to 27 years.
You must be graduate from valid university.

RAW exam conducted by UPSC in the every year. RAW department comes under IB(Intelligence Bureau).Not only RAW but also CBI(Central Bureau Investigation) and CID(Criminal Investigation Department) are coming under IB Department.
It is one of the prestigious job.You have more communication skills and english and general knowledge to phase the interview.

Raw is one of the most critical and very sensitive area .. It is highly confidential ....
and if we compromise , then our national security is in danger...

SO such a sensitive thing can not be left open ... Thats why , theres no guarantee ... you need to be capable enough to be a raw agent ..
you need to perform extra ordinary in your field and if your field has a relation with RAW areas then you will be invited to join RAW .

Anyways ... hope you get this and ... show some patriotism in your work and then see ..!!!

Friend there is not direct entry exam to be a raw agent.

But you can go in this field indirectly.

You can joined CBI and intelligence bureau through SSC exam.

SSC conducts the Combined Graduate level exam every year for the post of sub inspector in CBI, NCB and intelligence bureau.


Eligibility criteria

You must be graduate from valid university

Your age should be 20 to 27 years

Age relaxation as per government norms

SC/ST + 5 years

OBC + 3 years

PH + 10 years

You must be Indian.


If you do good work in this service you can get promotion and you can be transferred in raw agency.

You also be a raw agent.
