Dear Aspirant,
There is no minimum marks needed to apply for the CDS IMA.

IMA stands for Indian Military Academy.

The age limitation for the IMA is 19-24 years.

OTHER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO APPLY FOR IMA:-

<>Should have a graduation degree in any stream/discipline from a recognized university.

<>Final year candidates are also eligible.

<>Should be Indian citizen.

<>Both male and female candidates are eligible.

<>Should be physically and mentally strong.

IMA means Indian Military Academy, this wing comes under CDS.

One has to give the CDS Exam, to enter into IMA.

Required eligibility conditions for IMA are as follows:

Candidate must be unmarried male, and should have a degree or equivalent from recognized University.

No specific percentage is required to give this exam.

Candidate must have minimum 19 years and maximum 24 years.

There is no upper age relaxation for these exams.

By the time you complete your degree, you will attain the maximum age limit so, its better you give this exam during your final year.

Friend, there is no any percentage marks criterion in CDS Examination. Just possession of any bachelor degree will makes the candidate eligible for CDS Examination. As far as age limits is concerned for IMA and CDS Examination, prescribed age limits are mentioned below:# 19-22 years for Naval Academy# 19-23 years for Air Force Academy# 19-24 years for Indian Military Academy# 19-25 years for Officer Training Academy

Friend, you should be graduated to join IMA through CDS.
CDS is conducted by UPSC for the citizens of India of 19-24 years.

IMA stands for Indian Military Academy , For that you must graduate and your age must be under 19-24 years.

IMA comes under CDS , CDS exam is conducts by Union Public Service Commission .

You must be citizen of India.

There are different forms of entry in IMA.

1)CDSE(IMA)-No percentage required only graduation in any stream.

2)NDA(IMA)-10+2 passed with any stream,no percentage required.

3)UES(IMA)-Pre final year engineering student.

4)TGC(AEC)-Post graduate degree with 1st division or second division.

5)TGC(IMA)-Technical Graduate Course.No percentage required.

IMA - Indian Military Academy exam comes under Combined Defense Service exam which is compulsory to qualify for a graduate who wish to join IMA under Defense Ministry of India and to apply for this section you should have following eligibility criteria

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should be between 19-24 years and if you are pursuing final year of your bachelor's degree then you are eligible to apply for this exam

According to your mentioned date of birth you have completed 22 years and 6 months of your age which are enough and makes you eligible to apply for this examination and you can apply for upcoming Combined Defense Service examination between - 25-05-2013 to 24-06-2013 and can appear for this exam at - 08-09-2013

If you will complete your bachelor's degree in 2014 that means you are in final year and you can apply for this exam at www.upsc.gov.in between the mentioned dates and make your career better in Indian Military

IMA can be taken b/n age of 21-30 for general
33 for obc and 35 for sc/sts the thing is u should complete ur degree or may in final year

and the eligibility is given as follows

You must be an Indian Citizen

You must have studied a minimum of GRADUATION

The minimum age must be 19 years

And also maximum age is allowed up to 24 years

to join IMA through upsc there are two exams .
one is 12th based exam called
National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA/NA)

the other one is
Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS)
it graduation based exam

as you are an engineering student you should try for the (CDS).
the age criteria for the exam is

for IMA 19-24 years
for OTA 19-25 years
for IAF 19-22 years

OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

you can apply for this exam in the final years of your course .

IMA:- Indian Military Academy. After completing BE sure you can join IMA. To join it you need to appear in Combined Defence Service Examination i.e. CDSE. CDSE exam held twice in a year as CDSI & CDSII. Generally in he month of February & August & notification of exam announce in August & March. CDSE Exam is organized by UPSC.


Qualification Required for CDSE(IMA): You should have completed Graduation degree course in any discipline from recognized university/board. There is restriction on minimum percentage of marks for this exam. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to appear in this exam.


Age Required for CDSE(IMA): Your Age should be in between 19 to 24 years.


Gender for CDSE(IMA): You should be Male & unmarried.


Nationality for CDSE(IMA): You should be Indian Citizen.

Hello Friend

To join IMA after completion of your B.E. course you won't require any specific percentage. You need to clear the CDSE exam and obviously the SSB. And at the time of joining/SSB you should not have any Active backlog.

You can also join IMA through TGC entry which is a direct entry but since it is merit based I'll suggest you to maintain good marks if you are planning to join through TGC.

You can join IMA through CDS & NDA

Basic eligibility required for NDA are:
- You are eligible for NDA after 10+2 exam.
-only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
-candidates appearing in 12th class can also apply.
- Age : From 19 Years to 24 years. Engineer graduates 20 to 27 years
- Degree. BA, B.Sc or B.Tech/BE

Eligibility Criteria for I.M.A in CDS :-

Age should be between 19 years and 24 years and only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Graduation in any desire subject from any recognized university or equivalent qualification.
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.

you can apply for IMA by only completing your graduation or in last year .age limit 21 to 30 years for general students maximum 33 years for OBC and 35 for SC ST students

You need to pass with first division marks. Age limit in IMA is 19-24 years.
