For CDS exam Age limit for Girl Candidate is 25 years and Minimm age is 19 years.

>> Bachelors Degree in any field with Minimum 60% marks and should have subjects Physics and Maths in class 12th or BE/BTECH Pass with minimum 60% marks


>> Final year student can also apply for CDS exam. but before Mains Exam you must varify documents.

Girls can appear for CDS but only for OTA(Officer Training Academy) and not other wings in Air force or Navy or even IMA.The age limit should be 19-25years.It will be under Short Service commission and not permanent service.You have to be a graduate in any stream to be eligible.You can check the notification about CDS in the UPSC website and also you can find the dates for the next exam of CDS and previous year question papers.
If you are interested in Air force then you can apply for AFCAT exam conducted by Indian Air force.You need to have a B.Tech degree or equivalent with above 60% marks and the age limit should be 19-23 years.You can check other details about physical and medical standards etc for AFCAT on the website of Air force at careerairforce.nic.in

Girls are only allowed to apply for the OTA or Officers Training Academy.

Eligibilty to apply is Graduation Pass in any stream

Age should be between 19 years to 25 years

Bachelors Degree in any stream with Minimum 60% marks and should have studies the subjects Physics and Maths in class 12th or BE/BTECH Pass with minimum 60% marks

Age- Between 19 to 23 years

so as per the above criteria you are eligible for the exam

CDS stands for CENTRAL DEFENSE ACADEMY its conducted by UPSC(UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION ).


CDS exam has 4 WINGS:-

* INDIAN NAVY

* INDIAN AIR FORCE

* INDIAN MILITERY ACADEMY

* OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMY

but dear girls can give only OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMY EXAM.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

* you must have to passed graduate from the recognized university.

* age should be 19 to 25 years.

* there is no any age relaxation for any category.

* you must be indian.

The age limit for girls and boys are same for CDSE.There is no any relaxation provided to female candidates in terms of age.
CDSE stands for Combined Defence Service Examination-it allows entry in all three wings of defence through AFA(Air Force Academy)-a entry in air force,NA(Naval Academy)-a entry in navy,IMA(Indian Military Academy)-a entry in army,OTA(Officers Training Academy)-a entry in army.

The age limit for AFA is 19 to 23 years(at the time of commencement of the course).
The age limit for NA is 19 to 22 years(at the time of commencement of the course).
The age limit for IMA is 19 to 24 years(at the time of commencement of the course).
The age limit for OTA is 19 to 25 years(at the time of commencement of the course).

The female candidates are applicable for CDSE(OTA) only.

the age limit for the girls in giving the CDS exam is same as it is set for the boys. The minimum Age to give the exam is 19 years whereas the upper age for giving the exam is 24 years. The exam is conducted by the upsc twice in an year

Yes, being a girl and as you have completed you B.Tech so, can can appear for the CDS exam conducted by the UPSC.......
And CDS is the only way for a girl candidate join the Defense Services.........
But before appear appearing to this exam you need to satisfy all the required criteria..........
* You must have completed your graduation from recognized university.
* Your age must be between 19 to 25 years.
(age criteria is same for both male and female candidates)
* You must be an Indian or subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
* You must be physically and mentally fit and unmarried.
After satisfying all the criteria you can apply for the CDS exam.........

The age limit for girls in CDS exam is in between 19 to 25 years.
Oh Surely you can apply this examination but in CDS you can apply only Officer Training Acadamy.

It is something.
19 to 25.
Or a girl can apply for this .
And if you are b.tech graduated then your chance is increase.
you have to observe 50% marks in your graduation.

Yes Dear ,
You can very well apply for the CDS ( Common Defence Service ) Examinations .

Since you are a B.Tech Graduate so you are eligible to apply for the CDS Examination .
And being a Female candidate you can apply only for the OTA ( Officer's training Academy) for women's
through the CDS Examinations , as this is the only eligible academy for a female candidate .

And here is the age limit eligibility criteria for a female candidate -:
You should have been born between 2nd January, 1989 and 1st January, 1995, i.e , your age should be between 18 years to 25 years .

CDS exam is the best exam to join defence service after graduation degree.

Both male and female can apply this exam.

Girl can join OTA(Officer Training Academy) Which is also part of CDS exam.

OTA exam eligibility;-

----You must be passed a bachelor degree from a Indian recognized university.

----Minimum age is 19 years.

----Maximum age is 25 years.

---You must be Physically as well as mentally fit.

OTA exam pattern;-

Written exam, SSB interview , Medical test

Next CDS exams will be held on 8th Sep 2013, So you can apply for the CDS exams if you meet the above eligibity.

But if you are interested to join Indian Airforce in the Flying Branch than you need to have the below qualifications and have to appear in the AFCAT exams:

Bachelors Degree in any stream with Minimum 60% marks and should have studies the subjects Physics and Maths in class 12th or BE/BTECH Pass with minimum 60% marks

Age- Between 19 to 23 years

The minimum age must be 19 years


And the maximum age is allowed up to 24 years

You must have a minimum of GRADUATION


You must have completed the GRADUATION

And also the Final year candidates are eligible for this exam

Dear there are following sections under CDS and each sector requires different eligibility criteria

Indian Military : A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply

Age should not be less than 19 years and more than 24 years for this section

Indian Navy : Candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering in any discipline/branch from a recognized university and age should not be less than 19 years and more than 22 years

Indian Air Force : You must posses a completed or final year pursuing bachelor's degree with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subjects in your degree from a recognized university and age should be between - 19-23 years

Examination Pattern for CDS - IMA, Naval and Air Force Academy

English Language - 100 marks - Objective type
General Knowledge - 100 marks - Objective type
Elementary Mathematics - 100 marks - Objective type

Examination Pattern for CDS - OTA

General Knowledge - 100 marks
English Language - 100 marks

You can apply for this examination between these following dates

Start date for online application - 25-05-2013

Last date for online application - 24-06-2013

Date for UPSC CDS Examination - 08-09-2013

To prepare for this exam you need to go any good coaching institute and collect more study material for this exam and prepare for this exam according to the declared syllabus by UPSC board and i have attached two files in which you will get the complete syllabus for this examination in both Hindi and English Medium so please download and start your preparation

Oh sure you can apply this exam but in CDS you can apply Only Officer Training Academy .If you apply this exam you fulfill with this eligibility Criteria's
