    Hello

Most of the exams that is conducted by the UPSC have graduation is its minimum criteria of educational qualification. There is demand of specific subject for the specific exam. But for the IPS,the education qualification that is required is only graduation from any stream from a recognized university

Hence if you want to give the entrance of IPS exam, then there will be no issue regrading the BCA graduation, you can go with the graduation in BCA.
Only graduation is necessary for any student to apply in the IPS exam.

    dear friend,

yes, you can apply for UPSC IPS exam after completing graduation in BCA.

if you want to make your carrier in IPS or another UPSC related post only, then you should go for ARTS stream in graduation.

because in IPS exams the optional subjects are related to ARTS stream like history, geography, Psychology etc.

if you don't want to close your option in IT then go for BCA and apply for IPS exam.

    Good Luck........
