Re: Previous solved question papers of UPSC CMS exam? Examination Pattern for UPSC Combined Medical Service Examination Part I examination - two papers contains 250 marks each Paper I - General Ability - 30 questions, General Medicine - 70 questions, Paediatrics - 20 questions Paper II - Surgery - 40 questions, Gynaecology & Obstetrics - 40 questions, Preventive and Social Medicine - 40 questions Passing in both of these papers is compulsory Part II examination - Personality Test/ Personal Interview - 100 marks and if you will qualify in above mentioned examination by scoring minimum qualifying marks then only you will be called for this test and if you score good marks then you can get job but passing in both papers and personality test is obligatory so you have to work hard for all subjects to score enough marks and be eligible for job You can use various books to prepare for this examination and also may take help from any reputed institute that provides study for this examination but concentrate on own preparation will be better for result This year's Combined Medical Service Examination will be conducted at 30th of June 2013 so there is no time to prepare just use these papers and get practiced well All the best
