Your current age is 34 years 8 months.By the time you retire, your age will be 36 years 9 months. Hence you wont be able to apply for IPS,any more. www.upsc.gov.in

Respected sir you need to have following eligibility criteria to apply for UPSC IPS Examination A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category peoples According to your mentioned date of birth you have completed your 34 years, 4 months and 17 days of your age as on - 01-01-2013 which is required by UPSC board so finally you are eligible to apply for this examination because you are under Ex-Servicemen category and you will get 5 years of upper age relaxation and if you comes under SC or ST or OBC then you will + your age relaxation as 5 and 3 years so that you can apply for this exam You have the last attempt left in this exam that is why you need to use your all and complete efficiency to prepare for this examination because if you will give more than 10 hours everyday for preparation only then you may easily crack the prelims and mains examination and you may easily crack the interview process and other physical tests because you are already a defense person so that you would not have any difficulty You must go and find a good coaching institute and practice as much as possible because practice will make your perfect for this exam and to score more marks in the written examination All the best
