Re: Can I give UPSC exam being a railway employee at the age of 35 years? What is the age limit for UPSC exam? Is there any age relaxation for government employees?
dear friend,
minimum eligibility criteria for UPSC exams is:
for UPSC exams you must complete or appearing in final year of graduation from recognized college or university.
your age must be within 21 years to 30 years.
And there is relaxation in UPPER AGE limit for reserved category candidates(3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates).
AGE RELAXATION FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOY IN UPSC EXAMS CATEGORY WISE:
Category Age relaxation
General 21 years to 35 years.
OBC 21 years to 38 years.
SC/ST 21 years to 40 years.
so if you belongs to general category then you are not eligible and if you belongs to OBC or SC/ST then you can apply for UPSC exams.
Good Luck........
