in my opinion you should directly go for the preparation of civil services exam., doing masters would not help you with the preparations and waste your time also.

    Hi

The minimum qualification for the UPSC exams is that you must have a bachelor degree from a recognized university in any discipline and your age must lies in between 21-30 years.

So if you ask for my advise then you should apply for the UPSC exams after the graduation because this is the right time for you.

You should start to preparation for the UPSC exams after the graduation or in the graduation.

If you want to do master degree then you can do this will be the great opportunity for you because you can do the preparation of the UPSC exams along with your master degree.

You must have to read about 2-4 hours in a day for the UPSC exams only after that you wil be able to clear the exams.

    So

    Best of luck....

    Dear,
It completely depends upon you whether you will do Master degree or Start preparation from Bachelor degree. The essential qualification for the civil services is to pass the Bachelor degree at any recognized university in any discipline. So in my view, if you make up your mind for civil service, it will be good for you to start your preparation from the Bachelor degree. Because the Master degree is only the extra qualification. Yes friend, you are free for the preparation of civil Service exam without completing master degree.

But in my suggestion you should complete your degree so that you could get more knowledge.

To apply for the Civil Service exam minimum educational qualification is graduation from recognized university or its equivalent.

You can apply for civil service in final year of graduation.

You must be the citizen of India.

Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Age relaxation as per government norms

    SC/ST + 5 years

    OBC + 3 years

    PH + 10 years

If you really want to go for civil services exam then you can go for it after you complete your graduation as you fulfill the criteria and without wasting time for it you need to apply for the exam and also there is age limit set for the upsc civil services exam and you can opt for your masters later on..

So without worrying go for exam.

    hi,

I like your choice of CSE and you can apply for Civil Service Exam.

    >> Final year Student can also apply for Civil Service Exam, but before main exam you have to verify it before mains exam.

    >> First Set your Goals then start preparation.

    >> If Goal is set then you can set your timing and adjust time according to your schedule.

    >> Please follow these material to prepare for Civil Services:

    >> Collect NCERT books of Standard 7 to 12th books like Sociology, Geography, History, Indian Constitution and English.

    >> Start Reading of NCERT books

    >> Daily Reading of Newspaper like The Hindu is required.

    >> Regular Reading of Magazines like Chronicle, Yojana, Kurukshetra, India Today and Pratiyogita Darpan.

    >> Daily Watching Of News on TV in English will increase your Vocabulary.

    Dear Friend

From my point of view ,I would advise you to go for the Civil services examinations preparation during your master's degree course as the age limitations for the Civil services examinations is :

    General:21-30 years

    OBC:21-33 years

    SC/ST: 21-35 years

And your age must be about 25 years so you have only five years left and four attempts if you belong to general category.Time and tide waits none .So start your preparations right now do not wait for the completion of master's degree .

You can join the coaching classes in weekend .Some of the good institutes are as follows:

    >>Rau's IAS aacademy

    >>Chanakya's IAS academy

    >>Vajiram and Ravi IAS academy

    >>ETEN IAS academy

    >>Khan study group.

Note:Try to give at least five hours daily for the civil services during classes and ten hours in weekend.Never give up and motivate yourself that you can do it.

Try to read newspapers daily for the current affairs.

    Hope the information helps you.

    all the best

    Hi

It will be better if you give the UPSC exams after graduation because the UPSC exams are based on the graduation.

This will help you another thing that you can fill in the starting age if you fill the exam after M.SC then there will be loss of the age time for the exams.

The age limit for the exam is 21-30 years.

Suppose you have done your graduation in the age of 21 then you can apply for the exam at that time.

If you fill the exam after M.SC then your age will be 22 or 23 so there is a loss in the age limit for the exam

So the better choice is that you have to apply for the UPSC exams after graduation.

    Thank you....
