Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidate should be graduate from recognized university
Final year candidate are also eligible for this exam.
there is no limit of percentage marks.
IAS exam is conducted by UPSC. there are three stage of exam.

>> Prelims
>> Mains
>> Interview

Age criteria For IAS exam

Minimum age is 21 and maximum age is 30 year for genaral candidate and
there is age relaxation provided to OBC and SC/ST candidate is 3 year and 5 year respectively

There si no specific right time for the preparation of IAS, instead whenever you feel that you have it in you that you can compete in this exam and do well, that is the time when you should start preparing for IAS and a dedicated 2 years preparation is needed to become an IAS officer.
And for being the officer, you need to be very strong in your gk and current affairs

It is your right time to start preparation of IAS exam. Appearing in final year candidates are also eligible.

You have to manage your study with the preparation.

IAS exam consist Preliminary exam, Mains exam and Interview.

Preliminary exam consist Gk, mental ability, communication skills, General studies, economics and English.

Therefore you have to concretate your English and GK.

Both play an Important role in this exam.

To increase your GK, you have to start reading newspaper and watching tv news daily.

Read weekly best magazine. Join any best coaching center. Think positive.

You must follow best books of Civil services exam which is guide by your coaching center Teacher

You have to start Speak English and practice compression of English which is given to English news paper.

Mains exam also consist your optional subjects papers.

You have to choose those optional subject in which you have full Interest or your stream subjects.

You have to also prepare for Interview test.

You must given your Interview in English mode.
