Hi I am really sorry to tell you that you can not apply for the IES exam because you have done your engineering from the physics stream. For IES exam you must have a bachelor degree in engineering from a recognized university in the following branches:- --Mechanical --Electrical --Electronics and communication --Civil Engineering Your age for the exam must lies in between 21-30 years. So you can not apply for the exam. You can apply for the other exams like IAS,IPS,CDS etc. Thank you....

You can only give the IES exam if you are having a graduation engineering degree from the following branches mechanical engineering civil engineering electrical engineering electronics and communication engineering and in the mechanical engineering, only the people from the production and industrial engineering can write the exam

Age relaxation is given to reserved category students. Nationality;- You must be citizen of India. IES exam pattern;- -----Civil services preliminary exam -----Civil services mains exam -----Interview for more;-http://upsc.gov.in
