There is no entrance examination conducted by the Union Public service commission for the joining the Merchant Navy .

Here I have provided you the required details regarding Merchant Navy.

You can join the Merchant navy only if you have done your bachelor's degree in nautical science or mechanical or marine engineering.

>>You should have passed your 10+2 with physics ,chemistry and mathematics with minimum of 60% marks

>>Minimum height should be 157 cms for the male and 152 cms for the female candidates.

The following field in which you can join are :

1.Deck

2.Engine

3.Catering.

Selection Criteria :

>>It is based on the rank secured by you in the ISEET exam from 2013 ,before 2013 it was based on the JEE ranks.

1.T.S Chanakya

2.Maritime Institute and Research institute Mumbai

3.Director General of Shipping.
