    If you want to fight UPSC exam then you don't worry about it .
    Because if you want then you should to prepare for this exam.
    About the subject you can choose any subject which you have fully prepared .
    YOu can choose math and other one subject for the subjective test .

    As a IT graduate i will tell you to select engineering subject as a optional subject which can make your preparation easy.

    But its not compulsary to have that only. Because some aspirant having interest in other subjects as well. so in that case you can select option subjects from below list:

    Economics
    Geography
    Agriculture
    Philosophy

    Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    Anthropology
    Law
    Public Administration
    Physics
    Geology
