    yes you can apply for it and as after b.a you hold graduation degree and therefore you can go for it..

    • you can apply for the upsc after completion of your BA(English )by any recognized university and from any stream not only from the english stream.the minimum qualification for the exam is the candidate should be between 21 to 30 years of age.even final year candidates of graduation can also apply for the exam.you should apply if you have graduation certificate recognized by the university or anyother equivalent certificate.you should be a citizen of india,nepal,bhutan.you should be a tibetan who is migrated and settled in india.

    You should apply for UPSC IAS/IPS exam.


    Indian Administrative Services i.e. IAS and Indian Police Services i.e. IPS exams are conducted by UPSC.

    You can apply online for these examinations at www.upsconline.nic.in

    The eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC exam is Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.



    The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.

    There is five years relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.

    There are two types of written examination in UPSC.

    UPSC Prelim exam and UPSC Mains exam. You will appear in UPSC Prelim exam first in which Objective type Questions are asked from General English, General Studies etc.

    Yes, You can apply for the UPSC civil service exam after completing BA in distance mode. If you are doing BA in distance mode, just ensure that your college is recognized by the IGNOU or DEC. Besides it your age should be 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation as per government norms. You must be the citizen of India. For more information visit http://upsc.gov.in

    see the notifications of upsc exams from the employment daily or through upsc website and buy the application forms from your nearest post offices. fill and send the form to apply for that exam, prepare hard for the exam according to the pattern and syallabus of the exam.

    My Dear Aspirant Yes you can apply for upsc exam after completing your B.A

    My Dear for upsc exam you just need to be pass in graduation from a recognized university

    And dear it does not matter the degree is correspondence or of regular

    And dear the age limit for general is 21-30

    And relaxation to sc and obc of 5 and 3 years

    And as you said dear you have passed in B.A

    So dear you can apply for the exam

    If you are doing BA from UGC recognized indian university, then after completing your BA with 50 marks, you can apply for UPSC exams. For other details like age limits etc, you must go through the UPSC website.

    If you are Graduate from a recognized University then it is not need that you have done Graduation through distance or regular. There is clarification in UPSC site that UGC recognized University Graduate Student can apply for the exam.
