Dear Friend Union Public service commission conducts the Geologists exam every year .Here is the eligibility criteria for the Geologists exam after understanding which you will know that whether you are eligible for the examinations or not: 1.Educational/Academic Qualifications: >>Master 's degree in applied geology/marine geology /geology from a recognized university. >>Diploma of Associateship in applied geology from the Indian School of Mines ,Dhanbad >>Master's degree in mineral exploration for the different posts in Geological Survey of India. >>Master's degree in hydro geology for the posts under Central Ground Water Board. Note: Final year candidates can also apply for the exam . So if you have masters' degree in any of the disciplines mentioned above then you are eligible otherwise not. 2.Age criteria : >>The age limit is 21-32 years on the 1st January of the year of examination. >>Relaxations applicable to obc and SC/ST respectively. 3.You must be an Indian citizen. 4.Examination pattern : General English:100 marks Geology I:200 marks Geology II:200 marks Geology II:200 marks Hydrogeology:200 marks For any more details ,you can log on to www.upsc.gov.in Hope the information will definitely help you .If you want any more clarification or you have any other query please leave it here. all the best for your career. aashisranjan784

I have a BTech equivalent degree in hydrography from institution of surveyors,new delhi and I m serving in Indian navy as a survey recorder for last 11 yrs. I have Completed Survey Recorder-I course from National Institute of Hydrography,vasco-da-gama,Goa.Am I eligible for geologist exma of UPSC as hydrogeologist.
