What is the difference between IAS and IPS? dear aspirant, For the post of IAS, IPS, IRS you have to apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year. UPSC conduct Civil Services Exam every year. yes, you can apply for Civil Services Exam with such a low percentage in graduation. because For Civil Services exam you need graduation with any percentage. So don't worry and start preparation for the exam. Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services: >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation. >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Dear, The minimum qualification for the UPSC's CSAT is to pass the Bachelor degree in any discipline at any recognized university. So, there is no require of percentages of any stage for appearing the examination. The age limit for the examination is within 21 to 30 years. The upper age limit for OBC is 03 years while for SC/ST is 05 years. There is only 04 attempts for General candidates, 07 for OBC and up to 35 years of age for SC/ST candidates. The IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and the IPS stands for Indian Police Service. The IAS is top administrative job of our country. Here you will be a highest administrative officer. The IPS is also for top Police officer like Superintendent of Police (SP, ACP etc..). Both the services have challenge and adventure in every steps. What is the difference between IAS and IPS? it is no matter that you pass with 37 % . for ias exam you juse pass your graduation thats all . but if you are over than age limit than it will be not possible for you that you can eligible for exam . for this if you are belong to general cast than age limit is 21 to 30 and 4 chance to attempt . if you belong to obc than your age limit is 21 to 33 and 7 chance to attempt if you belong to sc/st than your age limit is 21 to 35 and no limit to attempt the exam . and you should be an indian . so go for this and good luck .

Hello Dear, Yes you are fully eligible for CSAT exam. CSAT exam is also known as IAS exam. To become an IAS or IPS officer you need to crack CSAT exam] CSAT exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year. As per your detail you can apply for CSAt exam. There are some other info which are also the criteria is should be graduate from a recognized university in any stream (marks or percentage doesn't matter) age should be 21 to 30 years age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidate 5 years Nationality- must be Indian No. of attempts General- 4 OBC- 7 SC/ST- no limit Best of luck

What is the difference between IAS and IPS? ================================================== =========== Hi, According to Eligibility criteria for IPS- The candidate must be a degree holder of any discipline from a recognized university. The candidates who are in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the examination. Candidate who have completed their M.B.B.S., but not have completed the required internship during the time of submission of the application to the main examination will be provisionally admitted for the main examination. Physical qualification for IPS :- Height: The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female. Chest: Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1. AGE Requirement :- During the year of applying for the examination the candidate must have attained 21 years of age on 1st of August. So, minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 in the case of candidates coming under general category and 33 for OBC candidates and 35 for candidates coming under SC/ST category. In the case of ex-servicemen an age relaxation of 5 more years is given.
