    There is NO relaxation based on gender for UPSC.Relaxation in age and qualifying cut off is only applicable based on Caste or physically handicapped person.If you are General category or any other category,you will avail the same benefits as that of any other male candidates of your category.As you are from general category your age limit for Civil services would be 21-30years with 4 attempts and higher qualifying cut off than others.

    Dear,
    The UPSC conducts the various examinations for various central Government services. The minimum qualification for the examination is to pass the Bachelor degree in any discipline at any recognized university. The age limit for the examination is 21-30 years. The upper age limit for the examination for OBC is 03 years while for SC/ST is 05 years and 10 years for Ex-serviceman and PH. There is only 04 attempts for General, 07 for OBC and up to 35 years of age for SC/ST candidates. There is no special relaxation for the female candidates except the exemption of examination fee.     hi,
    There is no special age relaxation for female Candidates.

    If you General Female Candidates, then you age should be between 21-30 years.

    Age relaxation;---

    3 years age relaxation for OBC category

    5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category

    10 years for PH candidates

    Both male as well as female gets same age relaxation as given above.

    Number Of Attempts;-

    4 times for General category Candidates

    7 times for OBC candidates

    No limit for SC/ST category

    Selection Process;-

    Civil services Preliminary exam

    Civil Services Mains exam

    Interview

    Important Dates;-

    Preliminary exam ;-26th May 2013

    Mains exam;-1th Dec 2013

    dear aspirant,


    UPSC conduct various exams like Civil Services,IES, CPF, CMS, IES/ISS, NDA & NA,CDS etc.

    There is no special relaxation for women in UPSC exams. the relaxation is only on the basis of category wise. and there is also relaxation for physical handicapped or Central Government employ.

    here is the eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.



    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.


    Limit Number Of Attempts:


    >>General: 4 attempts
    >>OBC: 7 attempts
    >>SC/ST: No Limit

    does the woman candidate avail age relaxation in upsc exam ? specially general catgory
    Sir i belong to general catgory and I am a woman candidate. I am working in a government sector. my age is 30 years now. am I eligible for upsc exam ? kindly convey me the details and the same for state psc exams
