IFS stands for Indian Forest Service. This examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission once a year.

For appearing IFS exam candidate must be a graduate in any one of these subjects � Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in Agriculture or Forestry from any recognized university.

Your age should be 21 years to 30 years and Upper age Limit relaxation will applicable for sc/st candidates and obc candidates .

Paper III Optional Subject 1 200
Paper IV Optional Subject 1 200
Paper V Optional Subject 2 200

dear last date to apply for ifs(indian forest services) has already been passed which was 4th april 2013, you can apply for ifs examination next year, since upsc conducts ifs exam every year.
the educational qualification- a graduation degree in any field from an ugc recognised university
your age must lie between following limit-
general- 21 to 30 years
obc- 21 to 33 years
sc/st- 21 to 35 years
pd- 21 to 40 years

Indian Foreign service does not conducts separate exam.It is included in Civil services exam.Forest service is conducted separately.Unfortunately for you,the date of registration of both the exams are already over in the month of April perhaps on 04th April 2013.You need to wait for next year to apply for Civil services or Forest services.You can check the website of UPSC for other details.You will also find there the exam calendar for next year exam after few months.There you can get an idea of the tentative dates of notification of Civl service or IFoS
