Eligibility FOR GEOLOGY EXAM
1.Master�s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology; or
2.Master�s degree in Mineral Exploration (for posts in Geological Survey of India only), or
3.Master�s degree in Hydrogeology (for posts in central ground water board only) from a recognized university;
4.Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
5.Age : A candidate age should be below 32 years as on mentioned date in Advt.

you can prepare upsc exam by following ways
1. Manage your time table and keep your self calm and cool.
2. Go ahead according to UPSC syllabus.
3. Read 6th to 12th NCERT books.
4. Increase your GK and End English.
5. Keep reading newspapers and magazines daily.
6. Try to solve previous year papers.

Geologist Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year . This year notification was not declared but it will be publish in the month of August in the official website .

~~ Date of announcement :: 25/08/12
~~ Last date for receipt of application :: 24/09/12
~~ Date of examination :: 01/12/12

This examination is conducted for recruitment of Category I and Category II .

Category I : (Posts in the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines).

For Geologist, Group �A� 300 Posts

Category II : (Posts in the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water
Resources) .

(i) Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B),
Group �A� 07 Posts

(ii) Assistant Hydrogeologists,

Group �B� 30 Posts

last 4-5 years paper also available in the market.

Previous question papers of UPSC Geologists exam are available on the official UPSC Website: http://www.upsc.gov.in

You can directly go to Question paper's webpage by clicking on the following link:
http://www.upsc.gov.in/questionpaper/index.htm

After you reach the page you will have to select the year of Exam for whose question paper you want.

Then you will have to select the name of the Exam to download the Question paper.

Similarly you can download question papers for exams held from 2009-2012.
