there is a written exam for cds after clearning it you will face a ssb interview, and then medical test clearing all of these you will become the officer in indian defence dervices. you can apply for cds after graduation and you can get previous years' cds question papers from the website upsc.gov.in

Do not worry ,I will answers to your all query which you have mentioned here.

CDS is the Combined defense services examination.It provides you opportunity to join the defense academies like Indian Military academy,Indian Naval academy,Indian Airforce academy and Officer's Training academy.

This examination is conducted twice every year by the UPSC .

The eligibility criteria for the exam :

>>You must have done your bachelor's degree from a recognized university .Final year bachelor's degree candidates can also apply for the exam.

>>Bachelor's degree in engineering is the minimum requirement for the Naval academy and you must have mathematics and physics at 10+2 level for the Indian Airforce academy.

SO you are eligible for the CDS exam after completing your bachelor's degree.

Age criteria for the different academies are as below:

IMA:19-24 years

INA:"19-22 years

OTA:19-25 years

IAF:19-22 years.

Both male and female candidates are allowed to apply for the exam.

How to get previous years papers:

>>For previous year papers of CDS exam ,please visit the official website of UPSC that is www.upsc.gov.in .Click on the previous papers link then click on the year for whcih you want papers and finally on CDS I or CDS II.Open it and click CTRL+S to save on your system.

Selection procedure:

The selection procedure consists of two stages which is one is the written test after clearing which you have to go for the service selection board .When you will clear both these stages ,you will able able to join your desired academy.

You can apply for the Upcoming CDS II exam at www.upsconline.nic.in
