Dear IAS aspirant,

IAS Exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of various prestigious posts in India.

IAS Exam or Civil Services Exam is conducted in three stages.

These stages are:

>> Preliminary Exam

>> Mains Exam

>> Personal Interview

You can appear for Mains Exam in your own language i.e. Marathi.

But for Preliminary Exam (CSAT Exam), you will have to appear in English language.

Preliminary Exam is the first stage of Civil Services Exam and medium of paper is only English.

Dont worry you can give IAS exam in Marathi Language.
For becoming an officer you have to qualify civil service exam of UPSC which conducts every year.

To be eligible for IAS exam you must have completed your graduation which is the minimum educational qualification of this exam.

Age should be between 21 to 30 years.
Relaxation for obc is 3 year and for sc/st is 5 year.
In IAS exam only four attempts for general,for obc 7 attempts and no limit for sc/st.
Fee for general candidate is Rs. 100 only. No fee for sc/st/pd.

For this year you are late but you can registere for next year at this site only after notification-http://http://www.upsc.gov.in/

You can give the exam in marathi language or the language you want but prelims exam can be given in English and Hindi only.

Eligibility Criteria:
1.You must be an Indian citizen.
2.Your age must lie inbetween 21 to 30 years.Age relation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/PD category students.
3.You must hold a bachelor degree.

The IAS exam is scheduled on 26th may and the last day to fill up form was 4th April.

You can give IAS mains exam in Marathi Language but Preliminary exam can be give only English Language.

IAS Exam Eligibility;-

1-You must be passed a graduate degree from a Indian recognized university
2-There is no percentage requirement
3-Appearing in final year candidates are also eligible.
Age limits;-

General age limits is 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given reserved category students.

Can I give IAS exam in Marathi language?

i am doing mechanical engineering in 3rd yr. want to become an ias officer. let it be known to you that i want to give ias exam totally in marathi language. can i give? right from the prelim also. i have very good command on arts subject.so please guide me. i am very ignorant about the fact.what should be approach towards the study?
