yes, definitely you can apply for NDA Exam after completing Diploma or while appearing in final year of Diploma.
NDA stands for National Defence Services. through NDA exam you can get the posts in Defence Services.


Eligibility Criteria For NDA:

>>12th with Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry.
>>your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years.

Important Dates for NDA-II exam in 2013:-

Date of Notification:-04/05/2013

Last Date of Filling Application:-03/06/2013

Date of Exam:- 11/08/2013.

Friend, please note that# You are presently in the 10th standard. It is the high time to keep yourself ready for NDA Examination in future.# It is mandatory that candidate must be INTERMEDIATE OR ITS EQUIVALENT for the NDA Examination.# But you are planning for an engineering diploma after 10th standard directly.# But note that DIPLOMA IS CONSIDERED EQUIVALENT TO THE INTERMEDIATE. So you will be eligible for the NDA Examination.# If the subjects physics and mathematics are in the syllabus of engineering diploma, then you will be also eligible for navy & airforce, otherwise you will be eligible for army only.

If you do or study Diploma in Engineering course you may loose eligibility for National Defense Academy (NDA) examination even if you study Physics,Mathematics,Chemistry subjects because required Educational qualification is Intermediate or 10+2 course which is after 10th class.But Diploma course wil in duration of 10+3 years.

So, Choose your that If you are interested for NDA examination then do or study 10+2 course other wise Diploma course.

I am a student who appeared for his 10th std. examinations in march '13 in Mumbai,Maharashtra.
I am thinking of doing a diploma in engineering in my near future.Since this diploma deals with physics,mathematics and chemistry, am I eligible to go in for the prestigeous NDA?
I am aware that the age limit restricts me now(since i am 15 and a half) but can i attempt the UPSC exams next year?
can you also give me the names of institutes where the UPSC exam is conducted in Mumbai!
