CDSE stands for Combined Defence Service Examination,it is a common entry for all three wings in defence.
It allows you to apply for IMA-India Military Academy-a entry in army,OTA-Officer Training Academy-a entry in army,AFA-Air Force Academy-a entry in air force,NA-Naval Academy-a entry in navy.

The exam is conducted twice in a year,the notification is released in the month of May and October.
A CDSE notification is also uploaded for your reference.

CDS stands for Combined Defense Service Examination conducted by UPSC twice in every year to recruite the employees in difense services.Defense services are: Navy , Army and Air Force.To apply for this examination, you must complete Graduation in engineering for Navy and Air Force posts.Age limits are 19 to 24 years for Army.19 to 23 years for Army and Air Force.Attachment 13346

CDS Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year as namely CDS I and CDS II . CDS Examination is conducted for recruitment of Indian Military Academy Examination , Naval Academy Examination , Air force Academy Examination and Officer Training Academy . The candidate who are completed their degree course or engineering course those candidates can apply for this examination and even final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination . But pre-final year candidates are not eligible to apply .

Important dates for CDS II Examination ::

-->> Date of Notification :: 25/05/13
-->> Last date for receipt of application :: 24/06/13
-->> Date of examination :: 08/09/13

Indian Military Academy Qualification ::

~~Degree with any desire subject of a recognized Institution or equivalent qualification and must have a minimum 19 years and maximum 23 years .
~~Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for this examination .
~~Syllabus :: General ability , Mathematics and English Language .

Indian Naval Academy Qualification ::

~~Degree with Physics and Mathematics as subjects OR engineering degree of a recognized Institution and must have a minimum 19 years and maximum 22 years .
~~Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for this examination .
~~Syllabus :: General ability , Mathematics and English Language .

Indian Air force Qualification ::

~~Degree with Physics and Mathematics as subjects OR engineering degree of a recognized Institution and must have a minimum 19 years and maximum 22 years .
~~Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for this examination .
~~Syllabus :: General ability , Mathematics and English Language .

Officer Training Academy Qualification ::

~~Degree of a recognized Institution and must have a minimum 19 years and maximum 25 years .
~~Unmarried male/female candidates are eligible to apply for this examination .
~~Syllabus :: General knowledge and English Language .

To apply for CDS exam you should be graduate in anydiscipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final yearexamination are also eligible to apply for the CDS examination.
CDS examination is conducted for the selection ofcandidate in Indian Air force, Army or Navy as an officer.

Eligibility Criteria of CDS Examination:

Education:
You must be Graduate in any stream.

Age Limit:
Your age must be between 19 to 24 years (IMA)
19-25 years (OTA)

The CDS exam is common entrance exam for joining defence after graduation.
this exam is conducted by the UPSC.
through this exam you can join the army , navy and the Air-force.

the eligibility for this exam is-
~You should have Indian citizenship.

~Your age should be in the age group of-
19 to 24 years for Army.
19 to 23 years for Air-Force.
19 to 23 years for Navy.

~You should have a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized institute.

for CDS exam you should have a degree to apply it and anybody can apply for it in their age limit
