There is no age relaxation for any category candidate in the CDS exam.

For almost all the exams of UPSC there is age relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC/PH etc category candidate but not for the CDS and even NDA.

The age limitation for the CDS exam are:-

19-22 years for INA
19-23 years for AFA
19-24 years for IMA
19-25 years for OTA.

The age limitation is same for all category of candidates.

Age should be 19 to 22 years for the navy.

19 to 25 years for the OTA.

So no age relaxation.
Selection procedure for the same is as follows-
Written test.
SSB interview.
Medical examination.

Friend, please note that# There is no any trend or provision of age relaxation in upper age in CDS Examination.# Also, there is reservation policy is not taken into account in the CDS Examination process like other government jobs. # There is same age limit fixed for all candidates irrespective of caste/race/religion.# Finally, the selection or merit list is also prepared on the basis of performance of candidate in the examination without any role of reservation policy.# Fixed age limits for all categories is as follows: # 19 years to 22 years for Naval Academy (NA) # 19 years to 23 years for Air Force Academy (AFA) # 19 years to 24 years for Indian Military Academy (IMA) # 19 years to 25 years for Officer Training Academy

You are over age for CDS exam.Following are the age limits of CDS modules:
IMA = 19-24years
OTA= 19-25 years
INA= 19-22years
AFA= 19-23 years

There is NO Relaxation in any standard regarding age,cut off,physical criteria and other factors based on caste or category. Do no expect any age relaxation for any defence exams as NDA,CDS,SSC Technical,AFCAT etc etc all have very strict standards and there is no caste-ism and relaxation or reservation in Defence services.

I am sorry to say but there is no provided relaxation to any kind of person or category that is been offered in the upsc CDS or NDA exam.
For giving the CDS exam, you need to be a graduate from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 19-24 years

CDS Exam is conducted for entry into 4 different wings.

For Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years

For Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years

For Naval Academy : 19-22 Years

For Officers Training Academy :19-25 Years

There is no upper age relaxation for the above mentioned posts.They remain same for every individual.

NO THERE IS NO AGE RELAXATION FOR UPSC CDSE EXAM.

CDSE stands for Combined Defence Service Examination-The entry as the name suggests only is for the air force,navy and army.Let me tell you that,only defence is such a department where no relaxation to any category in any term is provided.Every criteria is same for every category.

CDSE a entry in all three wings through
IMA(Indian Military Academy)-a entry in army-The age limit is 19 to 24 years(at the time of commencement of the course,not at the time of applying)
OTA(Officer Training Academy)-a entry in army-The age limit is 19 to 25 years(at the time of commencement of the course,not at the time of applying)
AFA(Air Force Academy)-a entry in air force-The age limit is 19 to 23 years(at the time of commencement of the course,not at the time of applying)
NA(Naval Academy)-a entry in navy-The age limit is 19 to 22 years(at the time of commencement of the course,not at the time of applying).

No friend, there is no age relaxation provided in CDS exam.

CDS stands for Civil Defence Service.

This exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria for CDS :-

1] The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2] The age limit of the candidate must be 19 to 25 years.

3] The candidate must be completed his / her graduation in any degree from any recognized university.

4] The candidate who is appearing in final year of his/ her graduation can apply for this exam.

5] The candidate must be physically as well as mentally fit.

Selection procedure for CDS :-

1] Written exam

2] SSB interview

3] Medical test

Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS) is an exam conducted by upsc twice a year.

yes of course there is age relaxation for the OBC and the SC/ST aspirants ,
there is an age relaxation of 3 years for the OBC aspirants and
for the SC/ST aspirants the age relaxation is 5 years .

apart form that if you are an central government employee then you can get an
age relaxation of 5 years more for the upsc CDS examinations.

the age limit if you are applying for
IMA is19-24 years
OTA is 19-25 years
IAF is 19-22 years.

For UPSC CDS exam there is no age relaxation for any category even for reserved category also. The age limit for all the categories is same.

Age Limit For CDS Exam:

as you are now 28 years old , and you have crossed the required Upper limit Need for different CDS exams, so sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for CDS exam.

but you can go for UPSC Civil Services and CPF Exam where the age limit for OBC candidates is 21 years to 33 years.

And upsc is conducting the exam of cds every year for IMA,IAF,OTA And Naval Academy

IAF: Means Indian Air Force

OTA: Means Officer's Training Academy

IMA: Means Indian Military Academy

Here is the Qualification Required for the exam:

-The candidate should be pass in graduation for IMA,OTA From a recognized indian university

-The candidate should be unmarried

-The candidate should be pass in graduation (and have subjects physics and maths at 12th level) For IAF

-For Indian Naval Academy the candidate should be pass in B.SC (With Physics or Maths )

Age Required :

For the IAF :It should be between 19-23

For the IMA:It should be between 19-24

For Naval : It should be between 19-22

For OTA : It should be between 19-25

-Sorry,BUT there are no relaxation of any sort in the CDS exams.

dear for CDS exam age relaxation is given to the candidates who belongs to minorties like SC/ST as age required for CDS is 21 to 30 years abut this age limit is for candidates belonging to general but for SC and ST age relaxation of 3 years and of 5 years is given to SC and ST respectively.

By applying in C.D.S. examination candidates can join Indian military academy, Indian naval academy, Officers training academy, Air force academy.

for indian military academy

not born before 2nd january 1989
not born after 1st january 1994


for naval academy

not born before 2nd january 1991
not born after 1st january 1994


for officer training academy

not born before 2nd january 1988
not born after 2nd january 1994


if the candidate have date of birth according to these date he/she can apply for the central defense service exam.

A candidate who have age more than these years is not eligible for cds exam.

The selection process consists of a written exam and personality test by the Service Selection Board. After the final selection, you are sent to one of the following institutes for orientation training as per your Preference at the time of filling the application form.
