dear aspirant,

For the post of IAS you have to apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year. UPSC conduct Civil Services Exam every year.

It depends on your capabilities. If you can manage both IAS Preparation and B.Tech then you need not to worry. else i will advice you first complete graduation then prepare for the exam.

Tips For Preparation:

• first and most important Manage your Time table and maintain your self calm and Cool.
• go ahead according to UPSC Syllabus.
• you can start for UPSC by study 6th to 12th NCERT books.
• increase your general knowledge, continuous reading news papers and magazines, concentrate on English.
• solving Previous year question papers is most requisite part of preparation.

Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

>>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.

>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



Limit Number Of Attempts:

>>General category: 4 attempts

>>OBC category: 7 attempts

>>SC/ST category: No Limit

Yes, you can prepare for both examinations of B.Tech and IAS subjects at time.
There will be no effect for you.By keeping proper planning you get success
.But do not neglect B.Tech subjects because Graduation is the minimum educational qualification to apply any post.
Must read daily news paper to gain knowledge on Current events and current affairs.Must keep on Practicing.
You may get succeed in both examinations.

UPSC civil services is neither a very tough exam nor so easy. If you are doing a planed study then i am sure that you will crack this exam.
Tips For Cracking exam is
1. Be confident
2. never think negative thinking in your mind
3. read news paper daily. reading newspaper is very beneficial for you because you cover a lot of awareness from this.
4. be regular that means continuity in your study is very important part of your preparation.
5. make a friend circle where you can discuss your problem related to UPSC
