The eligibility criteria for admission in NDA is as follows:

* Candidates age must be in between 16.5 - 19 years.

* Candidates have a minimum of +2 / Intermediate degree.

* Candidates should be unmarried.

* Candidates must have Indian Citizenship.

* Candidates should be mentally and physically fit.

If you full fill the above you can apply for admission in NDA.

yes, you can apply for NDA exam because for NDA you need 12th.
but the question is that is your age limit is within 16.5 years to 19 years. if yes, you can apply for NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Services. The Exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year for the post in defence.

NDA exam is conducted for three wings of Indian Defence Services:
>>INA
>>IAF
>>IMA

>>for IAF and INA you need 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

>>for IMA you need 12th from recognized Board or University

>>your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years

>>you must be Indian Citizen.

>>Only unmarried male candidates can apply for NDA exam.

>>you must be Physically and Mentally fit.

>>NDA-I is already been conducted this year. and NDA-II's last date of filling of application form is already gone on 03-06-2013.

so you have to wait for the notification for NDA-I exam for 2014. UPSC generally release notification on November/December.

The eligbility criteria for NDA are as follows:
Unmarried male Indian citizen.
Appearing in 12th or Passed with above 60% marks aggregate and 60% marks in Physics and Maths if want to apply for Airforce and Navy.
Age Limit 16.5-19years at the time of joining the NDA.

As you are in 5th semester it is quite likely that you have crossed the age limit and at the time of joining NDA you will be above 19years.If not,then you will be eligible.But it will be better to complete your education and then apply for defence jobs for Graduates as CDS,AFCAT,UES etc.As you are in 5th Sem you can apply for University Entry Scheme for Navy Army.It will be a bad idea to go for NDA now as you have many more options ahead of you in defence sector.Check the websites of Army,Navy and Airforce to know the details of all kinds of entry schemes based on your age and qualification

As far as i know your age should have crossed 20 and the eligibility for NDA examinations is 17-19 yrs . So you better check out for the age criteria of your's .

but if you really want to join the defence forces you can apply after completion of your graduation .

Friend, at this stage, when you are pursuing engineering degree at 5th semester, it is most unrealistic and impractical to apply for NDA Examination. As there might be the possibility that you may crossed the fixed age limit for NDA Examination. The fixed age limit for NDA Examination is 16.5-19 years. If your age is above the age of 19 years, then you are not eligible. At present, you should look forward towards following examinations: # CDS Examination # AFCAT # UES # TGC # And many more

The eligibility criteria for applying in NDA is follows 1)The candidate must have done 10+2 with physics,maths for applying in air force and navy and with any stream for army through NDA. 2)Age limit is 16.5 to 19 years(at the time of commencement of the course,not at the time of applying). As it is already mentioned,there is no issue regarding your educational qualification but the only concerned is your age limit,if you fit as per the age demands then yes youa are eligible,otherwise no. *) You are not eligible to write NDA exam.

*) Because, The age limit for NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 only.

*) You can try for other government jobs.

• The educational requirement here is class 12th from an recognised board.
• Your's age would make you not eligibile, because the age required for this exam is 16.5 years to 19 years.
• Considering your stage of your education, it's quite possible that you had already crossed 19 years.
• You must be male, unmarried and physically fit student for applying.
