IPS stand for - Indian Police Service

This exam conduct by UPSC.


Eligibility like ::

*** Complete graduation degree

*** You must citizen of Indian

*** Age limit 21 to 30 years

*** Age relaxation Govt rules

*** You must be physically fit


Number of Attempts like ::

*** General = 4 times

*** OBC = 7 times

*** SC / ST = No limit.

dear aspirant,


this is not true that you can't write exam for IPS post after graduation in animation. you can write the exam after completing graduation in any stream.

for IPS you have to write the Civil Services exam that is conducted by UPSC.

Civil Services exam constitute three phases

Prelims(CSAT)
Mains
Interview

you have to clear all the phases to get the IPS post.

for Civil Services exam you must have graduation degree and your age must be within 19 years to 30 years and there is applicable relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

there is also limit of number of attempts of 4 for general category and 7 for OBC and there is no limit of number of attempts for SC/St candidates.

Yes you are eligible for exam of IAS paper because for IAS,
only Graduation is needed,but no proper subject or specialization
is needed for IAS exam.
so don't think that you are not eligible,you are fully elegible
but you have to prepare well for General Knowledge.
