    Dear Aspirant
    There is lot of scope for English Literature student to became IAS.
    Graduation is criteria of IAS exam and eligibility is 21-30 year...
    English is the Core and compulsory subject of IAS now.
    Self Study is right approach of IAS preparation..
    the main subject you need to focus are following
    -General Knowledge
    -Economics
    -Math
    -Science

    for these subject specialist you need to read 6-10 NCERT books
    which cover all syllabus of UPSC exam.

    Hello friend,
    IAS stands for Indian Administrative service. IAS is one of the most prestigious exam conducted by UPSC. Every year many aspirants appear the civil service exam to become an IAS but only a few succeed.

    Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is the minimum qualification required for IAS exam.

    The age between 21 year to 30 year required to apply for the exam.
    The upper age limit is relaxed for certain reserved categories.

    For IAs exam the candidate should be a citizen of India.

    So,if you are Graduate with English Literature then you can apply for the exam.To become an IAS it is necessary for you to qualifying the exam & secured a good rank.

    1.Graduation in any stream from recognized university.
    2.Age limit 21-30 yrs.

    dear aspirant,

    for IAS post you have to apply for Civil Services exam that is conducted by UPSC every year.for Civil Services Exam you have to complete graduation in any stream with any subjects.

    Tips For Preparation:

    • first and most important Manage your Time table and maintain your self calm and Cool.

    • go ahead according to UPSC Syllabus.
    • you can start for UPSC by study 6th to 12th NCERT books and other good study material related to syllabus.
    • increase your general knowledge, continuous reading news papers and magazines, concentrate on English.
    • solving Previous year question papers is most requisite part of preparation.

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.




    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

    >>General category: 4 attempts




    >>OBC category: 7 attempts




    >>SC/ST category: No Limit

    join some good coaching class and read some good books and magazines and also read books for positive mental attitude
