Re: What is the syllabus for Customs Officer exam? Are final year students eligible for customs officer exams?

    dear aspirant,

yes, final year candidates are also eligible to write the Civil Services Exam that is conducted for Customs and excise department. it comes in Civil Services IRS(Indian Revenue Services). the exam is conducted by UPSC.

but sorry to say you can't apply for the exam in 2013. because the last date of receipt for the application form for Civil Services Exam is already gone. This year(2013) the last date of receipt of online application was 04-04-2013.

So you can only apply in 2014. and UPSC has yet not released the notification for 2014 exam. generally UPSC release notification for Civil Services exam in January or February.

it means that you have almost 7 to 8 months more for preparation. Do hard work and definitely you will succeed. also i want to give a advice to solve previous years papers as much as you can.

there are some requirements for civil Services:
for Civil Services you must have graduation degree in any discipline from recognized college or university. There is also no barrier regarding the percentage in your graduation. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

and you must have attained the minimum age of 21 years on 1 August of the year of exam and you must no have attained maximum age of 30 years on same date. UPSC also provide relaxation in upper age limit according to government norms as per 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

if you fulfill the above requirements then you have to apply for the exam.online. for applying online visit
