Dear Aspirant
There are Different Subjects and papers of IAS exam..
The paper for IAS are
-GS
-CSAT
In these paper ther is a little chance of having questions for IAS exam.
because in GS there are subjects mentioned below
-Current Affairs
-Economic
-Indian Polity and Constitution
-Geography
-General Science
and in CSAT there are questions from aptitude.so this your field.
try to concentrate on it..

In the prelims there will no be questions from engineering paper.Even if there is it will be of basic level of your 1st year B.tech.But for Mains,you can select your engineering paper if you want for the Optional subject I and II.There are papers in Civil,Mechanical,Electrical and Electronics engineering.
