Age limit 21-30. There is no diploma for ias . You need to prepare for ias exam. And for ias preparation 6 months are not sufficient see ias syllabus and then think for ias. Log on to www.upse.gov.in this is the official website of upsc where you get advertisement for ias exam. This site helps you a lot.

Requirement for IAS are as: *it requires Graduate degree or final year student of any graduation course *age is 21 - 30 years *citizen of INDIA so do not Discontinue your engineering degree (3rd year) as by NEXT year you are eligible for IAS exam if you discontinue your course you have to wait for NEXT 3 years to attempt for IAS exam. so continue your study and prepare for IAS exam too to score good by next year

Hello, you should aware IAS examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission, only commission has the right to increase or to decrease the eligibility criteria. It is not dependent on on the opinion of forum members'.We just copy upsc rules then depict here for your easy comveynience. So, what you are thinking without doing graduation you will appear for IAS entrance examinstion, in reality it is never possible till UPSC declare's any new criteria. Thank You,
Re: Any less duration course(s) which makes me eligible for IAS exams? My age is 23, decided to discontinue engineering (3rd year). Dear Aspirant It's good to see you that you are so dedicated to your goal that is IAS and for this you can able to drop your engineering. but for IAS you need a Graduation degree and for this minimum time needed to do graduation is Three years.if you don't want to go to complete your Engineering then you can go with BCOM which is helpfull in IAS but without a Graduation degree you can't able.to appear in IAS and no.equivalent course can avail you to appear in IAS exam,so.if you don't want to.waste your more time, you have only choice to complete.your Engineering and go for IAS. All The Best...
Re: Any less duration course(s) which makes me eligible for IAS exams? My age is 23, decided to discontinue engineering (3rd year). Hello, Friend , there is no other option left for you , you have to complete your Graduation , because for IAS exam the educational qualification is said to have 3 years diploma or any course equivalent then only you can apply for IAS Exam . As you said that you want to do 6 months course , sorry to say you won't be eligible for appearing IAS exam after doing such 6 months course . Your age is not so much friend , the maximum age limit is 30 years . So what's the problem ?? continue your studies as only some more years is left for your Graduation completion , not only this you can also apply for IAS exam being in a final year ... GOOD LUCK !
