graduation in BA although you ate a science student only for IAS.

Biw as you asked about.BA subjects then I must suggest you following subject for.best result in IAS
-History
-Economics
-Constitution
-Geography
in spite of these you must read daily News paper and also have to
read NCERT book from class 6-10 for best results..

BA course will have you for your IAS exams as many subject as common to both.
subjects as history ,statistics, sociology etc can help you in IAS exam
do BA from well know university

Educational Qualification

Candidate should be graduate from recognized university
Final year candidate are also eligible for this exam.
there is no limit of percentage marks.

Age criteria For IAS exam

Minimum age is 21 and maximum age is 30 year for general candidate and
there is age relaxation provided to OBC and SC/ST candidate is 3 year and 5 year respectively

Yes of course BA degree will be lot of helpful for preparing civil service examination.Since you are a science student it will be more better to have science subjects in your graduation.It will be more helpful to you but at the same time you should yourself decide that for time being it is better you select subject in which you have interest and so your best in graduation.Later you may do good for civil service examination.Don't waste your time or thinking of future you take subjects in which you have no interest.The important thing is that you perform better in your graduation
