Examination Pattern for Indian Forest Service Examination 2013-14 Preliminary Examination : Two papers that are : General Studies - Objective type - 200 marks CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Objective Type - 200 marks You should prepare for Indian Civil service preliminary examination because that will be the prelims for Indian Forest Service Examination too and top scorers will be selected for main examination of IFoS on the basis of their rank secured in preliminary examination and according to the availability of vacancies in IFoS Main Examination - Conventional Type and following papers will be conducted in main examination of IFoS Paper I - General English - 300 marks Paper II - General Knowledge - 300 marks Paper III, IV, V & VI - Any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects set out below. Each subject will have two papers - 200 marks for each paper and getting passed in each is compulsory Agriculture Agriculture Engineering Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Botany Chemistry Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering Forestry Geology Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Physics Statistics Zoology Provided that candidates will not be allowed to choose the following combination of subjects Agriculture and Agriculture Engineering Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Mathematics and Statistics Of the engineering subjects viz. First one is preliminary examination and second will be main examination.Main examination is again divided in two parts(Written examination and Interview). For Preliminary Examination you will have to appear in Civil services preliminary examination.There will be no separate examination for the prelims of IFS.Those who qualify in preliminary examination will be given an opportunity to appear IFS main examination.Now the written examination consisting of the following papers:- Paper 1- General English 300 Marks and Paper II-General Knowledge 300 Marks Papers III, IV, V and VI.-Any two subjects to be selected from the list of the optional subjects which are (1) Agriculture (2) Agricultural Engineering (3) Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science (4) Botany (5) Chemistry (6) Chemical Engineering (7) Civil Engineering (8) Forestry (9) Geology (10) Mathematics (11) Mechanical Engineering (12) Physics (13) Statistics (14) Zoology.However note that each subject will have two papers.-:-200 marks for each paper Finally a Interview will be called for selected student of 300 marks Hope the examination pattern of Indian Forest Services has been cleared to you.Wish you all the best
Re: What is the question paper pattern of IFS (Indian Forest Services) exam? dear aspirant, For IFS you must hold a Bachelor�s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.Final year year students can also apply for the exam Acronym IFS stands for Indian Forest Services exam. the exam is conducted by UPSC for the posts in forest department. Scheme of Examination: A. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION : The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each. B.
