Re: What is the Passing rate of UPSC(Civil Services) exam in First Attempt? hello my dear friend........... there are nothing to take with passing marks in UPSC if you have pattential then you can clear the exam and remember there is no shortcut to success you have to work hard in order to pass the exam you have to fix a time table for the studies and you have to practise for the previous year question paper for twice or thrice thank you and all the very best..................

Hi Aspirant Well their is no specific pass percentage As for the upsc exam and as you said your age is now 26 And after passing B.SC Your age will be 28 And yes for general 30 is the maximum age Here is the details about exam: -The candidates age should be 21-30 for general -The candidates should be citizen of india -The candidate should be pass in graduation from a recognized indian university -Final year students can also apply for the exam And as you are a 1st year student i think so you can apply at the age of 27 too As final year student allowed And for the preparation here is some steps: -First select your optional subjects -Then start preparation of the optional subjects -work hard and hard for the exam -Study daily with concentration and cool mind Best of luck
Re: What is the Passing rate of UPSC(Civil Services) exam in First Attempt? hi yogesh, do not thing to get passing marks..you have potential then why are you thinking of passing.. try to score at least half of the total marks like(main exam total marks -2000 marks ,so try to score 900-1000 at least),if there is negative marking ,you are not sure about the answer,then better to leave as a blank to come out from this better to practice old year questions papers spend more time to concentrate for the exam good luck thank you
Re: What is the Passing rate of UPSC(Civil Services) exam in First Attempt? there are no cut off marks like we get to enter in any of the universities it is just based on the merit list if u pass in all the exams u will become a civil servant and anybody can crack it in one attemp the only thing is that u have to prepare it with full dedication and hard work.

Dear aspirant, There is no fixed passing rates in the Civil Service exams.But one thing is for sure,it requires lots of hard work and dedication to pass these. As for preparations,one must be very much sure about the optional subjects he would choose.They must be his strength,and he must know all their details in the back of his hand. Also to be take note of are the general studies subjects that include current affairs,history,geography,environmental studies,English comprehension,basic mathematics and reasoning type questions. You should practice a lot of model papers. Also,The candidate must be very confident. These would keep you in best shape for the preparation of this EXAM. Good Luck !!

The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991. First of all you have to download and print Previous Years Question Papers from UPSC official website www.upsc.gov.in NCERT books are best for the basic knowledge because it covers full syllabus of UPSC. You can also practice more and more MODEL Question Papers from a sample paper by which you can experience to the Questions coming in UPSC exams. Living in Mumbai Suburbs (Kalyan-Dist. thane) currently I am doing BSc in IT. it will take 2 years more for completing. currently i am 26 years old. mean i will 28 Years old for eligible for UPSC exams.
