Re: Best option between UPSC and Bank exams?

Bank and UPSE is two different thing

    in UPSE:

you have various options to choose between them like IAS, IPS ,IES, IFS etc
but you have to work hare to achieve that goal
    UPSE is quit difficuilt one.

    in Bank jobs:

you have post as clerk ,PO etc
in this field also you have to work hard to achieve
    but you can do it.

in terms of salary and position UPSE is best.
    bank is also good one

Re: Best option between UPSC and Bank exams?

    Dear friend,

You cannot compare between these two exam.

Both have different functioning so it would not be justice to compare them.

Both have bright future as a career prospect.

It all depends on you as to you are interested in which field.

If you are interested in more in social service then UPSC would be better for you.

If you are interested in Finance and good at handling money then Banking would be beneficial for you.

*** Banks conduct exams for clerical and PO post.
Every year many vacancies come out.
You can see the notifications in Rozgar Samachar.

    Pattern of clerk exam:-

    Written exam: consists of 4-5 sections like;

    Mathematics
    reasoning
    English
    General Awareness
    Marketing
    Computer Awareness

    Interview

Pattern of PO exam is same but you have one more subjective paper in PO exam and also Group discussion prior to Interview.

    Pattern of UPSC exam:-

    PRELIMS
    MAINS
    INTERVIEW

*** For both exams Graduation is must.

Re: Best option between UPSC and Bank exams?

If I consider which is the best option IAS(upsc) or PO(SBI)I can say IAS(Indian Administrative service )is the

best job then PO(Probationary Officer). In respect of Salary/Promotion/dignity/resposibility/risk etc IAS is a

lucrative /dignity oriented job than BANK PROBATIONARY OFFICER.

    Thank You,

    Dear Aspirant
As both of exam provide employment then it is best way to differentiate both of them on the employment basis as
-Ias provide bestest employment with toughest and time consuming selection process
-Banker exam provide better employment in easy and shoe time consuming selection process
-IAS provide a standard job in relevant field who clear the exam
-Banker job is also have standard but it is limited to bank level.
these are few point which are helpfull to give you answer..

Re: Best option between UPSC and Bank exams?

    Dear Aspirant,

My friend this is not a right comparisons because this two cannot be compared in terms of work.

They have different works and different fame.

But when they are compared always a UPSC passed student will get more fame than a bank employee.

But the Bank employee works is limited to few hours and few bank exams are limited only to the state.

But if you prepare for the exam of upsc there is advantage that you can even crack the bank exams.

Since the syllabus will be almost 90% same.So there is a fair chance of getting selected even in that sector.

So i suggest you to take up the course of Upsc coaching and prepare well.

    Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

Re: Best option between UPSC and Bank exams?

    Dear Aspirant

See if you want to become an officer in government services like IAS(Indian Administrative Services )or Indian Foreign Services or even In Indian Foreign Services then it is better for you to go for UPSC.Even if you want to become an officer in Indian Army or want to apply technical knowledge then Engineering Services will be good. All these are conducted by UPSC. After become an officer by clearing civil service you will be posted at an gazetted rank.In banks there is no post called gazetted whatever post you get.

Both are best but if you want more respect and want government services then you have to appear for various examination conducted by UPSC .Otherwise if want money and becoming an officers in bank is also a good choice. In banking services you also get perks and medical facilities and other allowances.

    All the best
