    Detailed procedures for IRS(Indian Revenue Services):-

    **Education: Graduate or a final year candidate from the recognized University can apply for IRS(Indian Revenue Services).

    **Age: General: 21-30 years, OBC: 21-33 years, S/C S/T: 21-35 years.PWD: 21-40 years.

    **Nationality: Indian.

    **Attempts: General: 4 attempts, OBC : 7 attempts. S/C S/T: No limit.

    Through this eligibility a candidate can appear IRS entrance examination to get employment in customs/excise/Revenue department.

    Candidates first to crack CSAT after that mains(you are to choose subjects from more than 20 languages)exams and interview to get selection.

    Acronym IRS stands for Indian Revenue Services. after clearing IRS you will get the posts in Customs and Central excise department. Which is considered one of the best post.for IRS you have to write Civil Services exam which is conducted by UPSC every year. For Civil Service you need graduation degree from recognized college or university or you can also apply for exam while appearing in final year of graduation.

    Civil Services exam is conducted in three phases and you have to clear all the phases to become an IRS officer. The three phases are CSAT(Prelims), Mains and Interview

    to apply for the Civil Services exam your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. There is also available relaxation in upper age limit according to government norms.

    there are also limit of number of attempts like 4 attempts for general category and 7 attempts for OBC category. SC/ST candidates can apply for any number of time.


    Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net
    banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner& Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
