Re: How to prepare for Assistant Commandant exam?

It's great to see you that you are preparing for UPSC CPF - Assistant Commandant Examination and I expect that you know all other details about this test as Examination Pattern, Eligibility, Selection Procedure etc. so finally I would like to come on point that you have asked for :

Your target is to become an Assistant Commandant in Central Police Force so you should prepare for that examination according to the requirement and follow these few points/steps that may help you

    >> Make your target only one and fixed in career : Means first you have to set your target that if you want to become an AC in CPF then this should be your one and only goal to achieve in life because so many participants do not decide their target for competitive examination and start preparation for various exams and appear for every test but they failed in every because their in no target for them and they just appear for exams so this is the main key point that you make this your target and do not think about any other examination except Assistant Commandant of Central Police Force

    >> Plan your Study : After getting your target decided, you have to think towards preparation and planning study for competitive examination depends on time table means you just have to make a right and flexible time table for study and follow that until you get target. Try to provide more time for grounding and try to make yourself free from all other works while time of study so no one could interrupt you while being busy in study. According to the experience of higher and highest rankers and selected candidates for this post, preparation should be more than 8 hours everyday to be perfect in every single subject of this test

    >> Collect Official Syllabus, Study Material and Good Books : Get official syllabus through official notification and to know more about different type of question pattern of this test, you should buy some good books that are provided by various reputed publishers and authors and with that you need to collect other model papers and previous year genuine exam papers. After completing your learning for this examination you have to focus towards practice for examination because practice is the only thing that may help you in scoring good marks because everyone prepare but everyone does not practice so you have to give enough time for practice by using model test papers and match with previous papers

    >> Separate Time for each subject learning and practice : Sort your syllabus according to topics asked in all subjects and start working on those topics that are easy to be solved and when you see that you can solve these questions easily then go on tough questions and start working over them and try to learn more tricks to solve various questions and tricks are available in books so use them that you buy and if you get it that you have been strong in Mathematics then provide more time to other section but give at least 2 hours everyday only for one subject that is tough and more than 1 hour for other subjects then practice test

    >> Revision and Review of Preparation : If you will not revise all subjects over and over before exam then you will get nothing in exam because once learned will not work in competition so you have to try to revise everything studied more than 3 times before examination then only you will be able to memorize solutions while appearing for examination and will definitely score around 75% in examination so that will be your final selection but revision is must

    >> Check your level of study and compare with other participants : To check your study level, you need to find out a very good coaching institute and get registered for practice test series that is conducted everyday in coaching institute, pay enough fee and take tests everyday and when the result announces then see your rank and analyze that is your position enough to get selected but do not accept until you get on top and you need to keep your practice continue with contribution of more time and then you may get higher or highest rank and if you get any problem then faculties will help you in teaching some new tricks and shortcuts to solve questions and you will share your study experience and knowledge to other students then they will also share with you so this will be really advantageous for you

    >> Be confident and trust only in your study and knowledge that you have collected through your own preparation and practice and appear for assessment of CPF AC and get qualified, try to concentrate only on exam paper and provide solution by using tricks to get answer quickly and also remember that read the paper and question carefully then only you have to mark right for answer and if you are unable to solve then do not try to use your logic if you are not confident about any answer because if you will choose a wrong answer then your 0.25 marks will be deducted so this will not be right for your selection and try to attempt questions as many as possible
