Still not any change in civil service mains exam you want to see any change in that so visit www.upsc.gov.in regularly. You will be get change very soon.

yes, the pattern is going to change from 2013
there wont be any selection regarding tthe subjects
u need to have a vast knowledge of all the subjects
selective study wont help now
first u have to prepare for CSAT. next comes mains and last is Interview.

dear friend ,upsc has not yet changed the pattern of mains ,it is stillin proccess so until it annonces officially you must carry on as it was previously.and more over it may be from 2013 so now for this year you can study as usual.

Dear candidate,
-Till Now,there has been no confirmed notifications from the UPSC regarding the Change in examination pattern from next year onwards.
-Yet,the change is expected to be in the Mains Exam pattern,where it has been thought to remove the TWO-OPTIONAL-PAPERS Pattern,and introduce an examination so as to cover all the subjects.
-So,I would advice You to AVOID SELECTIVE STUDY.EVEN START STUDYING THE SUBJECTS WHICH YOU DO NOT LIKE.LEAVING OUT ANYTHING AT THIS MOMENT COULD PROVE HARMFUL.
-ALSO TRY AN IMPROVE YOUR WRITING SKILLS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
-Since there has been no confirmed notifications,you need not panic.
Keep your preparations in General and this will do you all good.

please tell about what i should do in this first stage........
2013 will be chance to change in mains pattern..... so please tell my studies during this stage what topics i want to concentrate..........
