Both are different entries level examination. CDS COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMINATION CAPF CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCE EXAMINATION CDS Examination is conducted for recruitment of Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Indian Air Force and Officer Training Academy. This examination is conducted twice in a year. Eligibility Criteria :: -You must be Citizen of India. -You must have a minimum 19 years at the time of appearing for this examination. -You must be Unmarried male candidate. -You must have a completed degree from a recognized University. -You must have a Mathematics and Physics as necessary subjects while applying the post of Naval Academy/Air Force Academy. -Final year candidates are eligible to apply for this examination. -No percentage bar required to apply. -No Upper age limits. -Both Unmarried Male/Female candidates are eligible to apply for Officer Training Academy. -Naval Academy :: Maximum 22 years of age. -Air Force Academy :: Maximum 23 years of age. -Military Academy :: Maximum 24 years of age. -Officer Training Academy :: Maximum 25 years of age. CARF Examination is conducted for recruitment of BSF,CRPF,CISF and ITBP. This examination is conducted once in a year and notification was already released. The last date for receipt of application on 05/August/13 and date of examination on 20/October/13. Eligibility Criteria :: -You must have a completed graduate degree from a recognized Institution. -You must have a minimum 20 years and Maximum 25 years. -Relaxation is given to the reserved categories. -Both Unmarried Male/Female candidates are eligible to apply for CRPF,BSF,CISF. -Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for ITBP Examination.

Dear Aspirant CDS stand for combined defence services and CPF stands for Central Police Force Servcie mainly recriitment are done by Central Police Force Assitant Commandos examination.After qualifying CDS you can become officer in army,Naval or Air Force but CPFAC examination are held for selection of candidates for CISF(Cenral Industrial Security Force),Indo-Tibetan Boder Force,Border Security Force(BSF)etc. See it all depends upon you whther you would to join army or security force in border or industry.Depending upon your interest you may apply for it.For both the examination you need to be graduate from any recognised university.Besides this when qualifies there is some physical standards set for CPF AC exams like height 165 cms and chest 81 inch with minimum wieght of 50 kgs. CDS exam stands for Combined defence services to join defence services. CPF exam stands for Central Police forces to join Police department. CDS exam Eligibility;- ----You must be passed a graduate degree from a recognized university in science stream. ----Your age should be between 19-24 years. ----You must be unmarried Indian . ----You must be physically as mentally fit. CPF AC exam Eligibility;- Generally CPF exam is conducted to join Assistant Commandant post. You must be passed a graduate degree from a recognized university. Both males and females are Eligible for CISF and CRPF. For SSB, BSF,ITBP only male candidates are Eligible. Your age should be between 20-25 years. All the best.....................

I have filled the upsc form for the CDS exam in the june. Now a another Upsc is there for the CPF which have the last date of 5 AUG. Are the both forms are same...??? OR i need to fill this form for the CPF.......
