UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission and this exam is conducted by government of india for every year.

The List of UPSC Exams:-

>> Indian forest service exam
>> Indian engineering service exam

>> combined defense service exam
>> National defense Academy exam

Required Eligibility Criteria For UPSC:-
>>You should be complete the bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university
>>For general candidate age limit should between 21 to 30 and not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years.For OBC candidates age limit should between 21 to 33 years,For Sc/ST candidates age limit should between 21 to 35 years.
>> you should be citizen of india.

and this is the basic eligibility criteria but few exam eligibility's are slightly changed.

>>No of Attempts:-
General Candidate - 4 attempts
OBC candidate - 7 attempts
SC/ST candidate - No limits

Dear Aspirant

In order to apply for UPSC examination you need to be minimum of 21 years of age and upper age limit has been fixed to 30 years of age for General Category.Besides this you will have to passed Graduation from any recognised university in any stream. There is no age relaxation for General category and maximum of 4 attempts they can take within their age limits

GENERAL- 21 to 30 yrs

OBC- 21 to 33 yrs

SC/ST- 21 to 35 yrs

Basically age limit for General category is 21-30 years.

Age criteria for General category:

1)National Defense Academy 16.5 to 19 years.
2)Combined Defense Service exam 19 to 25 years.
3)Civil Service exam 21 to 30 years.
4)Indian Forest Service exam 21 to 30 years.
5)Indian Engineering Service exam 21 to 30 years.
6)Indian Economics service exam 21 to 30 years.
7)Combined Medical service exam 22 to 32 years.
8)Geologist exam 21 to 30 years.

Nice To Hear that you want to appear in UPSC Examinations , but my dear friend UPSC Conducts a number of examinations every year.

So , you didn`t have mention the examination about which you want information.

Otherwise here i have just mentioned below the age limits for General Category students for Various UPSC Examinations :

* For NDA Examination - 16.5-19 years.

* For CDS Examination - 18-24 years.

* For Civil Services Examination - 18-30 years.

* For SCRA Exam - 17-21 years.

* For IES Exam - 21-30 years.

• For bc's and sc/st's the age limit is additional 3 and 5 years respectively

1) Civil Service Exam
21-30 for general cast
21-33 for obc cast
21-35 for sc/st
21-40 physically handicapped.

2) IES
21-30 for general cast
21-33 for obc
21-35 for sc/st
21-40 for physically handicapped

3) NDA
16.5 -19 years for all cast

4) CDS
Army 19-24
navy 19-23
air force 19-22

All the exams have different syllabus , education qualification , age limit , paper pattern etc.

the age limit depend upon post & education qualification.

10+2 based jobs the age limit is 16-27 years like:SCARA,NDA exams

degree based jobs min age limit is 21-30 years ,some post it is 20-25/27 years it is depending upon post.........

1.civil/IFS/IES/IES/ISS----21-30 years
2.IPS-21-25 years
3.CDS---20-25 years

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts many examination in every year. To appear in the UPSC examination you need the following eligibility criteria :

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Examination :~
->Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognize university. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.
->The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the reservation category candidates.

If you satisfy the above eligibility criteria then you are eligible to apply for the UPSC examination.

Civil service exam:-

The age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. And attempt the exam 4 times

Cds exam:-

exam conducted bi-annually

Indian Maltery Accedmay age limit is: 19 to 24 Years

For Officer Training Academy age limit: 19 to 25 years

Nava age limit: 19 to 22 years

Indian air force age limit: 19 to 23 years

No relaxation for the reserve category

Central police force:-

Age limit within 20-25

NDa Exam:-

age limit between 16 to 19.5 years.

Well for the general Category Candidates

Following are the limits :

Age limit: For the general candidate the age limit is 21-30

But for relaxation for the sc/st and obc of 5 and 3 years

Education Qualification:The candidate should be pass in graduation from a recognized Indian University

And as you asked what is the age limit for the general candidates

To write the upsc exam and the answer is simply minimum

Is 21 and maximum for general is 30
