Girl Candidates are not Eligible for NDA exam. NDA exam requires a Unmarried male candidates.

A girl can join Defense services after Graduation degree from a Recognized university by applying CDS exam.

NDA exam Eligibility;-

>>12th standard from a Recognized board

>>Age limit is 16.5-19 years.

>>You must be unmarried male candidates and Physically fit.

Through This exam, A male candidates can join army, navy as well as Air force.

NDA-National Defence Academy

Officer post entry in three wings army,air force,navy.
NDA offers permanent commission to all three wings cadre.

Eligibility criteria
1)10+2 passed with physics and maths for air force and navy
2)10+2 passed with any stream for army
3)Age limit-16.5 to 19 years,when the course is due to commence.

BUT ONLY BOYS ARE ELIGIBLE.

NDA-AFA-Air Force Academy-3 years at NDA and 1.5 years in AFA
NDA-NA-Naval Academy-3 years at NDA and 1 years in NA
NDA-IMA-Indian Military Academy at NDA and 1 years in IMA.

Due to hardship of training,girls are not allowed to apply in NDA.
CDSE,AFCAT,NCC,SSCW are the entries for girls in defence,but certainly not NDA.

This exam is conducted twice in a year.

According to eligibility criteria of NDA exam only unmarried male candidates are eligible for the exam.

So girls are not eligible for NDA.

But do not get disheartened as you have another opportunity lying towards your path and If you want you can grab it.

** You can appear for a similar exam known as CDS after your graduation.

This exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Comission) for unmarried male candidates.


The following are the other criteria for writing this exam

�� You should complete 12th.

�� Your age must lie between 16.5 - 19 years.

�� Apart from these you must be physically and mentally fit.


Though you are not eligible for writing NDA to join in Indian Army /Navy /Airforce,you can write CDS to join in above areas after completing your bachelor degree.

No girls are never eligible to apply for the NDA examination because there is no option in the gender section in the NDA examination for the girls so it will be better for you to wait for some years and after that apply for the CDS examination because NDA is not for the girls.
To apply for the CDS examination you need to have graduation in any discipline to apply for the indian millitary academy and Officers training academy.
CDS stands for the combined defence services examination that is conducted twice by the UPSC india.
your age must be 19 to 22 years for the indian naval academy.
For indian air force academy 19 to 23 years of age is required.
19 to 24years for the IMA.
19 to 25 years for the OTA.
There will be no age relaxation for the same.

To apply for the air force and navy you need to be a graduate in physics and maths or engineering.You need to be unmarried .

NDA Eligibility:-

1. A 12th standard from the recognized board can write NDA entrance exam.

So that as per eligibility of UPSC NDA girls can not appear NDA entrance exam.

No you can not appear.Girls can not appear for NDA.Only unmarried male citizens of India are eligible for NDA.You need to complete your Graduation to be eligible for entry into Defence services.If you can,then go for Technical branch i.e. BE/B.Tech for better chance as there are more vacancies for Technical branch in all the 3 departments of defence.As of now,concentrate on your studies for Graduation.All the best

i am sorry to say but the girls candidates are not allowed to give the national defence academy, NDA exam which is conducted by the upsc twice in an year. only the male candidates are eligible for giving the NDA exam. the age limit for giving the exam is that for giving the exam your age should not be less than 16.5 years and not more than 19 years.

No, you are not eligible to give NDA Exam.

Only male unmarried candidates are eligible to give NDA-II Exam.

As you are a female candidate, you are not eligible to give NDA Exam.

To give NDA Exams, candidate should be unmarried male with minimum 16.5 years and maximum 19 years, and should have passed 12th class or appearing 12th class.

For Army wing: 12th class pass from recognized board.

For Airforce,and Navy wing: 12th class pass with physics and maths as their subjects from recognized board.

But you need not worry about this, if you are really interested in these services, you can give CDS Exam.

But to give CDS Exam, one should complete degree from recognized University.

And as you are a female candidate, you are eligible for only OTA post.

So, give CDS Exam, after completion of your degree.

The eligibility criteria of this Exam for male applicants is:

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy : - 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 (Cadet Entry Scheme) at Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the

It is to inform you that you are not eligible for writing the NDA exam as on the reason that you are not satisfying the Martial status needed for the exam

The needed Martial status needed for the exam is that you need to be a unmarried male candidate

As you are girl you are not eligible for the exam.There are other criteria's which are needed to be satisfied for the exam in order to apply for the exam and they are:

> Age Limit
> Education Qualification
> Physical Standard

There is nothing to be regarded about those as you are not satisfying the Martial Status needed itself for the exam
