candidate should be an indian .
graduate from a recognized university
age limit is 21-30 years .
for SC/ST-21-35
for OBC-21-33

you cannot apply for Indian Police Service Limited Competitive examination it is only for persons who have 5 years experience in police services.

Dear candidate
it is good you want to go for Indian police service but it is a government grade post and only those persons can apply who have a 5 year experience in the mil try
or police service. so it should be better for you to go for IAS or for any other exam which is conducted by the UPSC.
The age limit for IAS,IPS,IFS is 21to 30 years and aa graduation degree from a recognized university.

you are not eligible.
it needs 5 yrs of continuous & actual service as DSP.
max 35 yrs of age.

Yes you can apply for IPS exam

ELIGIBILITY FOR IPS
-Age limit
Minimum 21 years & Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.
-Educational Qualification
Graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India. Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear.
-Number of Attempts
Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.

IPS limited exam is only for those officers who have already served 5 years in police department or defence organisation.

Sorry,but the exam you are talking about here is for Grade A officers and it requires a minimum experience of about 5 years in police or military.
So if you want to get enrolled for this exam,i would advice you to first join a good post through the UPSC civil services exams such aNd then try for this exam.

no dear it is basically for the A grade govt employees who are working in defense services or any other govt. organisation and now want to join the indian police services so dear friend you can not apply for that but if you want to become IPS than you have to give the IAS examination conducted by upsc every year.
