    Its not that IAS is meant only for anyone specially...Its a service those who like to serve the nation can choose civil service as their field satisfying certain conditions like age limit, 60% marks in acquiring degree,etc... which you can check from upsc.gov.in

    yes definitely you can become an ias officer after persuing b.tech from iit. iitians also get an upperhand in the interviews and civil services examination also has many engineering subjects as your optional subjects.

    Dear Friend,there is a lot of scope for IITians to clear the civil service examinations.Usually IITians choose the technical field of interest usually.Prepare well before the exam.Also you should give much importance to the interview afterwards.IITians clearing civil service is a real asset to the nation.With their cutting edge knowledge in technical aspects India may be guided to reach great heights.Wish you all the best.

    2. IPS
    3. IFS

    Hey

    UPSC conducts all the exams for every graduate student in India.
    It does not matter that from where you have done your graduation.
    If you have ability to crack the exam then you are at the top.
    So there is nothing to say about the Scope of IIT students in UPSC.
    Yes this will effect in your Interview process.

    So do not worry there is a good scope for you in UPSC if you will be able to crack the exams.

    Hi,
    UPSC exam Eligibility is same for Every students which is either B.tech, B,sc and other other degree such as IITina

    You can apply Civil services exam which is conducted by UPSC;-

    IAS, IPS, IES, IRS, IFS, etc.........................

    There is no special exam/job for IITian in UPSC.

    You can choose those subjects in which your are Interesting or related to Your IIT stream.

    There is big list of subject in UPSC exam.

    There is big scope for you in UPSC.

    You have to do one thing, just Join UPSC exam.

    i want to tell you that your are very funny.
    Because you just asking about the iitan's job .
    There is many jobs for the IITan's .
    they can apply for these job in upsc.
    IPS
    IAS
    IFS
    IES
    etc.
    And one thing i want to tell you that my district collector is also an IITan's .

    Why not? Now a days very large number of IITians are able to crack UPSC Civil Services Examination every year.

    You can choose your Engineering subject also if you are confident about it.

    Or you can choose any of the popular Arts subject such as History, Public Administration, Sociology, Geography etc.

    UPSC treats students from any stream as equal and give equal opportunity to all the aspirants.
