Re: How to start preparation for UPSC exams? What are the basics and higher level concepts? Suggest some useful books for same. If you have made your mind that you want to crack the civil services examination then its enough to clear the examination because once you feel the necessity then you will find the alternatives for attaining the goal. Usually i suggest people to study through the newspaper because nowadays civil services examination is newspaper oriented and whatever comes in the newspaper on the editorial page that is use ful for the preperation of the examination so start reading the hindu newspaper because case study explain that everything comes from the Newspaper. Try to read that thoroughly and also underline the words that you cannot understand because that also improve your english word power. Once you feel that you cannot find the good things by yourself or you feel that there is no proper guidance for the examination then you can jopin the coaching academies for the same. Because coaching center are good to prepare for these examinations as there is the environment that is 100% good for the exam. They will provide you the each and every material related to the examination. For more details log on to www.upsc.gov.in Thank you.
