To become a IAS officer the graduation must be necessary

But there is no special graduation course is best for future IAS exam

The syllabus for all UPSC exam is same

There is no doubt in that question

First of all complete your graduation in any stream

While doing that prepare for IAS exam with some reference books

It will be helpful while you are attending any upsc exam

Not only IAS exam even no upsc exam is related with any graduation
course

With your studies concentrate on indian history and economics

And also study the reasoning and arithmetic problems

As per the UPSC every graduate is eligible for the exam of IAS so as such their is no prefered graduation course for the IAS.

I will advice you to do graduation in your field only.

there is no particular course for the ias exam. each and every degree/course is important for the civil service exam. for this exam knowledge about each and every section is most important.
but humanities is the course/degree with some special subject like as history,political science, public administration, geography,sociology . that some subject is most popular for the civil service exam.

To appear in the IAS examination you need graduation degree in any discipline from a recognize board or University. The following eligibility criteria is need for IPS exam :

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Examination :~
->Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognize university. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.
->The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the reservation category candidates.

If you satisfy the above eligibility criteria then you are eligible to apply for the IPS examination.

Dear Candidate

Well it will depend on you rather than us

Because we can just suggest you the ways but the final decision will be your's

Just like first select the subjects that you are going to choose as optional

Like you will choose the subjects accountancy and commerce

Then you have to do B.COM Course because it will help you

And like that first select subjects in which you are strong

Then choose the curse according to your subjects

But final decision will be your's as i said

choose the subjects with your own choice

upsc need only You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute
and u do ur interest cource and u want to sit in civil services than u need to work on those subjects which u select in civil services if u want to do bA than select all those
subject which u select paper .

There's no such thing called good course for writing the Civil Service Exam(IAS Exam), all you need to be is a graduate(degree).

You can choose any normal degree or professional degree like B.Tech etc, but the course depends on your choice.

Select the course in what you're interested.

no body could suggest you that which subject is right for you or not .only you self the person who decide it that which subject is good for your carrier,and in which subject your interest ,your command.

So if you take the subject which you like most and taking interest in it so i think there is no any tough subject for a person .

Yes, it is a myth that arts students get profit in upsc examination .


but if you want to crack the upsc examination than choose the subject which you like to read.

There is no such good, better or best course for the future IAS Officer. If you choose your interested subject as your graduation course, then you can do better. You can also keep your graduation subject as your optional paper in your CSAT main examination. So don't bother about the graduation course, because all the course has the equal value. The qualification of UPSC CSAT examination is also only graduation in any stream at any recognized university. Best of Luck
